just got to rank 5 from 20, mostly winstreak (lost only few times because of unlucky draw) it is really fun deck, almost as old patron war used to be.

"So, what's Hearthstone about?" "Basically you Floop the Gonk and then Gonk some minions until your Branch breaks, and then you get another Gonk and Gonk them in the face!"

So there are 2 ways I can see to "beat" this deck. 1) put them at too low a health threshold to be able to stack enough hits to the face 2) play too few minions to stack enough gonkage or high enough hp minions to not be able to smack but that it pretty hard since 3+2+2+2+2+1 (twig 2x pounce 2x claw 1x DK hero power) comes out to 12 damage so you'd only need 3 shots to face 0_0

They're not gonna nerf this just like Shudderwock. They don't care OTK anyway.

Just played against this with Wizbang (Got Witchwood Awoken) sat back healed and made sure he had no minions just one on fatigue.

Try adding leeroy. It gives you 2 free gonk targets so your opponent cant play around you. And its 6 face.

I love it when you realized how silly saying "floop your gonk" was. Words you never would have guess you would have said. You just can't make this stuff up. "Today I flooped my gonk." 😂

I see a lot of people saying they are upset they disenchanted Gonk (because they got it out of a pack or for free).. Let me tell you a little secret NEVER DISENCHANT LEGENDARIES, no matter how bad they are or how much dust you need at the time... Hearthstone will never give you a duplicate legend unless you own all the legends for that set, so by keeping it you guarantee future legends to be different.. You also only get 1/4th the dust back (400) from disenchanting which means you lose 3/4 of a legend card only to be able to pull it out of a pack again later and be sad.. and you roughly get a legend every 20-30 packs (40 if bad rng).. So this means if you disenchant a legendary and open it again in a pack you just wasted the time/money opening 20-30 packs to get the same legend plus the 1200 dust loss you acquired when disenchanting it.

What this deck needs is a way to summon minions for the opponent

This has to be intentional with all the play testing they do and the card is way too bad without this interaction for them to consider printing it

This day 1 deck is probably gonna turn out to be bad, but it's funny seeing everyone act like the broken thing is an unintuitive interaction with a weak card and not that the druid core that is in every other druid deck just enables unparalleled consistency even in ultimately gimmicky decks. This only looks strong because it's day 1 and it turns out ramping, drawing cards, and gaining armor is really good.

I found funny when people lost their minds about a card that most of the youtubers though was horrible for the druid. The concept of Gonk plays perfectly for the druid, since it gives a shapeshifter that can turn into different animals, the ability to fight as a pack of Raptors by doing crowd control using the millage of tools the druid has at their hand. If Gonk gets nerfed, people are going to say the same copy-paste argument they use when Blizzard nerfs something in their games.

I don't have twig or malfurion but pulled it off by using savage roar, bite, hero power and pounce whilst having 0cost ixlid 0cost cube and 0cost gonk from the florist in my hand. So I played ixlid then I played cube and got 1 gonk with 2cubes killed 1with naturalize and one by attacking next round. 5gonks plus my spells I mentioned earlier on = 12hit or120damage to face after I killed his 3minions with my hero having 10attack 16shield and 28health.

100% win rate my ass. every single person I played for not just 2, not just 3, but 8 matches either played around my deck and never threw a minion out, or all my legendaries were at the BOTTOM of the deck, or I get everything I need but they deal so much damage to me in the process because for some buttfuckin reason I cant get any armor buff spells OR my legendaries off draw EVER and it takes up to turn 5 or 6 for me to draw one and at that point there's nothing I can do because they either already drew their win condition and are just waiting to play it and utterly destroy everything to the point where I have 0% chance to win, or they are just smorcing me down because I cant get the fucking cards I need. I get that if you have situations like the one in the video you'll more than likely win a bunch but how many times does the average person gotta FUCKING LOSE before they get one of those situations where they can win? Luckily I played more than half of the 8 in casual because hearthstone hasn't been letting me win more than once every 5 losses for about the past year and it's been for the same reason every time. I never get the cards I need in hand. Ever. Not on draw. Not on mulligan. They're at the bottom of the deck, right where blizzard wants them to be so I can throw another 50 bucks at em in a couple months hoping that the next expansion will have a better outcome.

Wait, how is this not a bug? Is it just programmed to add +1 to a pool of available attacks, instead of resetting your available attacks to 1 like every other effect in the game? By the logic of their cards, if you could build a beast hydra with Giant Sand Worm it could gain 3 more attacks per attack. I’m sorry, what?!?!?

And this is why I say to never believe what pros say about the new expansions, because you don't know how hard will Blizzard fuck up with the interactions of new cards. And now I'm going to make this deck because they will nerf Gonk and go with "fixed a bug where Gonk were granting extra attacks". Because they will never admit their big mistakes.

Alright, toasty. I dusted my entire Shaman and Hunter collection to make this. I probably could have not dusted shaman but fuckit, I can hardly muster the will to play this shit anymore. If Blizzard nerfs this, I'm holding you personally responsible.

I got Gonk as my free loa, but I don't have any cards viable in druid (because I'm poor), so I guess I'm fucked. This deck probably isn't going to be as viable when people realize filling the board against it is a bad idea anyway.

Now. I'm no programmer but I think I know what is going on and I think Gonk is working how its meant to be used, it is just the card isn't worded the best, something that isn't uncommon when it comes to hearthstone. Anyways so, I think each card has a value which says how many times they can attack and after they attack the number goes down and resets to a base value at the start of your turn. So for most minions their base value is one and windfury minions is one as well but they gain an extra attack also at the start so that if they are silenced they just suddenly aren't able to attack. Now Gonk when you use your hero card to attack a minion and it dies gonk simply gives that number of attacks value plus one, so having more than one gonk would give it +2 thus the extra attack. So the proper wording would be to say "After your hero attacks and kills a minion, your hero gains an additional attack." However attack is a stat so having it worded like this would make people think it just gives you +1 attack rather than letting you attack multiple times. Thus, the wording the card has now.....or it could be bugged and I'm just over thinking this to hell and back.

#Druid gets effed in april, UI, BP, spellstone and plague rotates out, so unless they got another "get gazillion of armor and draw more cards, coz, heh, why not?" -card, they are screwed in standard. 4 months. The end is coming!

I want to make a gonk deck, but without that streamer money, I can only make a (probably bad) budget version without Taldaram and Floop, (I have malfurian and twig) but that's probably not good enough.

I don't know if y'all are trolling, but this seems pretty easy to play around if it becomes meta. Aggro decks will force you to spend Claws to stay alive, and Control decks won't play enough minions to generate enough attacks. Really cool deck, though.

How to "fix" this deck. Make Gonk give your hero Windfury until the end of your turn. Honestly though, I'm an arena main at this point, so IDGAF.

so logged into my account, and the Loa I was gifted was gonk. So made a a less good bootleg GonkTK :D[only legendary available is gonk as new account] using faceless, and got to Gonk someone from 45 to 0 :D

People say they're sorru for disenchanting Gonk but really this deck is garbage and any other druid is better. Aggro will just kill you faster or you won't be able to trade enough minions and control won't play many minions. Also, he is playing before rank 5 lol.

And things like this one are why Blizzard gives you trash cards to reveal such as HOOKTUSK, now go to a corner and think on what you did mister by playing with your Gonk

was so happy that I got gonk boi from the free cards given. Cuz it only takes malfurion and some must-have cards to make a deck :D tho im pretty sad that i got the ragnorock bird boi and frog shaman but don't have the necessary cards to make a deck :P

Its fun and all, but if this deck stays and it is as strong as Toast showed us I think blizzard would still not nerf/fix it as this is blizzard:/ Anyway it should be fine as a lot of synergistic cards will soon rotate out. Furthermore people will learn how to play against it so I don't find this a big of a deal
