rugby got a different type of tackle than football. football has much more violent tackles and before helmets people actually died a lot playing the game. the president ordered safety measures or football to be banned
@bigbananadealer846 ...dude, people die while playing rugby too. I remember a guy who got his neck snapped while going a scrum. Both sports are equally as dangerous, that's why they only hire professionals.
there have been plenty of newer helmets to come out since the speed classic which is what the 2010s one looks like. the vicis zero2 is one of the newest and rated the highest
@@goreyboyz8564 no it looks like a riddell speed classic or speed icon based off the chinstrap and the vents. it’s not even the newest riddell, that would be the axiom
@@goreyboyz8564looks like the speed Most colleges, high schools m, and nfl teams use the SpeedFlex right now But I’ve seen a few of the new Axioms in the NFL preseason
Playing in them was such a huge difference than just trying them on. I played fball from age 7 to college level. Experienced all helmet types from 90’s to latest on this video. The latest was the most comfortable, imo. Such a HUGE difference in the span of 30 years. But they are missing the latest helmets that they have now. Cool vid 💯
Tbf it was hard hitting football back in the day too but with lower quality helmets it also meant people weren’t running as full speed due to how hard it hurt. Especially in HS in the 60’s-80’s. Where you get to a really dangerous point was in the 90’s where padding and helmet technology got to a point where it gave people a false sense of security where you started seeing people really running head first into dude’s chest but the protection wasn’t as good. Last bit is in the 60’s and 80’s fitness wasn’t as precise so a lot of dudes weren’t as big.
