I've watched enough Karolina Zebrowska to know that most of these are sadly inaccurate.

Why do so much research but not hire a period hairstylist that is trained in executing past styles in historically accurate ways? I’m by no means a specialist but even I could point out how wrong most of the looks were.

As a young girl, I remember seeing Halle Berry's pixie and thought I wanted to have hair just like hers!! My mom though wouldn't let me go through with it lol she was emotionally attached to my long hair but once I moved out of the house I got a pixie cut :)

This can not be more timely. :) I just had my first ever pixie cut last Monday! At first, I had a little bit of regret because I thought I looked too boyish, but then, as the days passed, I started to love it more and have more fun with it! I wasn't very specific with the stylist who cut my hair, I just said I wanted a pixie cut. At first, he was shocked--more scared for me than I was for myself! He asked me at least five times if I was sure and if I knew what I was getting into because I had shoulder-length hair. Now, I'm just having fun with it. I just run my hands through it to fix it, and I'm currently thinking of what products to use to keep it neat. So far, my bed head can be a little too fluffy, but I just dampen my hair to smooth it back down. Without meaning to, I have myself the 80s hair in this video. I swear, the model and I have almost the exact same hair right now. :) I love this video! This gave me more ideas about what other short hair variations there are still for me to try!

I actually really enjoyed this video! when I was 14, 15 & 16 years old, I used to wear my hair short, sometimes pixie short. I tried to style my hair like Toni Braxton, Halle Berry, Dorothy Dandridge, and some style from the 80's, etc. I looked really cute with short hair; some people said that it complemented my facial structure. Now I'm 18, and can't pull it off anymore! I wish I could.
