I remember when my brother/my Moruti Rodgers Mathevula brought us together when we've just arrived from school in the late 90s, sat around the wooden table under the tree at church, with pens & papers on our hands jotted down the lyrics, different melodies were suggested, within 2 hours this song MUHLAWURIWA WA XIKWEMBU happened, today this song is all over.HAPPY CENTENARY TO THE SAINT ENGENAS ZION CHRISTIAN CHURCH.
The tenor says:ku nga va mani,ku nga va mani ku nga ri ST ENGENAS?which simply means who would be the chosen one if it's not ST ENGENAS but i must say this song here has been spiced up & remixed from the original version hence i can't properly hear the bass lyrics here but the original bass goes like:yena i Engenas,Engenas, yena i Engenas n'wana wa xikwembu. Though the meaning & the core of it hasn't changed.
