I saw a jeep (had to be a track hawk) accelerate from a red light up a hill coming back from work in the morning from an overnight shift. That thing literally took off like a rocket and shot up the hill and was gone in seconds. And the sound it made sounded like an explosion also, it caught me off guard but it was cool to watch up front. I've never seen an SUV move that quick...

OMG, what a ABSOLUTE BEAST. In Australia we had a car brand called HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) which was a branch off of Holden which is a branch off of GM and they used a slogan "HSV I Just Want One!". Wow, I now say that about that Trackhawk, I just want one.

You can’t just throw a bunch of HP into any vehicle and get that type of acceleration. You really have to know physics, cars, engines and drivetrains, wheels and tires, road surfaces, a lot.

That sounded incredible all the way down to the idling!!

My Subaru did it in 3.3 seconds 20 years ago for 24k - stock with standard equipment. The track hawk is a lot more money for a small increase in performance. You could say a Lambo was faster but I got decent performance and kept 175k to play with in other ways - and I never obsessed over someone trying to steal it.

I blinked and never saw what happened, I heard it but never saw it, it’s crazy how they made a awd jeep that weighs pretty much over 7000 well most of them at least without modifications. And they still can no doubt destroy almost anything “almost” but I’m being biased I love dodge, Chrysler anything similar it goes fast that’s all I know when I hear a mopar being mentioned. And if it ain’t fast like an older type that wasn’t built for it, it’s still fast.
