Great visuals and what a road to ride with no traffic enjoyed your commentary and hard to believe hardly any people in view Perfect bike for the job and I think any of your bikes would’ve worked without Sue on the back Thanks for the ride along and regards from Florida 🦩🦩🦩🦩
Enjoyed that Ian, only travelled through Romania twice. The mountain areas were beautiful I found the large flat areas boring, bit like the moon lol. Certainly roads and houses were all well kept. Where I am there is some excellent roads, but they are the main highways. Which I only travel to get into the mountains. Once there it’s a lottery road wise go from rough to almost unmanageable. Good for you .
Nice one ian/sue great scenery beautiful weather your living the dream glad to see you haven't given up on the himmy look forward to seeing more trips including the himmy
Fantastic footage, Ian. I liked the way the picture blended back and forth between still shots and traveling footage. I am thrilled that you ride the 411cc like a road bike. Anxiously awaiting the 650cc all spiffed up in those recent accessories. Did you buy eggs or find a chicken? LOL.
Grand video tour . It's always great to see somewhere new . 97 mpg ! Wow . Do you think you'll get a "ton" out of her ? ( 100mpg not 100mph 😂) Ride safe , ride far .
It's interesting for me to hear your view on the two counties. Serbia is interesting one, I have been more times there then anywhere. They like a lot of meat in their food but with a lot of salt.. Roads are mixed, but better then your aria.
Looks like an awesome ride Ian and great footage of the Danube. Himalayan doing what the Himalayan does, getting the job done quietly without shredding your wallet. Romania is an interesting country, I visited as a backpacker in 1993 and at that time it was horribly poor, lots of petty corruption, homeless kids and battle scars from the revolution. Inflation was running at around 1000%. It was an intriguing journey. They actually have one of the best mountain driving roads in the world there, It's called something like the Transfagoram highway (might not be spelt right;-). Top Gear did a show on it once. That could be another ride on the Interceptor perhaps!
Great video Ian and nice editing Sue. This is touring how it should be I think. Taking your time and enjoying the ride and scenery and the scenery here is stunning. Thank you for sharing it with us. When my brother and I rode to the South of France I found coffee to be a huge problem lol. You couldn't buy a decent large mug of coffee anywhere!! It was all tiny cups with about half a thumbful in them. When I got on the ferry home the first thing I had was a large coffee!! 🙂
Hi Ian ive just subbed you tonite mate after watching a few well presented & instruction video's i thought it was time to join you mate , take care & ride safe
The best part of solo touring is that you can turn down any road any time without any concern about what a riding buddy will think. I've gotten lost several times with no worries at all.
There is a small border crossing on the 57 www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Border+crossing+Naid%C4%83%C5%9F/@44.8963313,21.5404337,14.5z/data=!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x4751a9e9e0754401:0xf846a63f4b3b7679!2s325500+Moldova+Nou%C4%83,+Romania!3b1!8m2!3d44.735184!4d21.6642348!16zL20vMGd0djY!3m5!1s0x4750520721e4f6f3:0x5bf9e9ea6797ba01!8m2!3d44.9014895!4d21.5623865!16s%2Fg%2F1tv22ynb?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MDkyOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D
Hello Ian! I'm happy that you like Romania. If you ever plan to visit the south east part of it, I can show you some great roads , superb places and scenery and I promise you; the food will be amazing and coffee will flow in all recipes imaginable. From Turkish to American, cappuccino or ristreto, all you could wish for and some more. I do have a spare room so you and Sue will not have to worry about accommodations and you will collect some nice memories.
@@iantoy7778 the place is Buzău county. It is not too far from Giurgiu -Ruse bridge, but also very accessible from the Călărași ferry. Look it up and, if you find it interesting ( mudd volcanoes, living fire, Siriu dam , neolitic caves, etc), I will accompany you on my classic 350. Also, the accommodations offer stands.
I will definitely be in touch next year. Looking forward to meeting you and riding together. It is so much better when you have a local to show the best spots.
