@@CobraFerrariFth Of course, everything would be more interesting, but from what I've seen, there is still a lot of difference between the 3 top teams: Ferrari, Porsche, Toyota and the other Hypercars teams.
Was there a reason for a lot of the 20s & 30s Italian prestige cars to be right hand drive, like our British cars ? or did you drive on the same side of the road as us in that time period .
Cars and trucks were right-hand drive, and the last cars built like this date back to the 1950s. There is no single reason for this, but over the years, I have often asked why and have been told that the Roads in Italy were narrow and dangerous at the beginning of the century, and most had ditches on the sides. For safety reasons, to prevent drivers from falling into the ditch with their vehicles, the steering wheel and pedals were positioned on the side so they could always keep an eye on the edge of the road. Things then changed; the streets became broader and safer, and even in Italy, the standard of driving with the steering wheel on the left has become uniform. However, it is interesting to think that nowadays, an English or Australian collector could buy a historic Italian car and immediately find himself ideally at ease driving it.
Ferrari won again today. I never see any of these cars here. It has to be a major show in Monterey CA. I have seen classic races with European cars raced at LeMans, but nothing like these. They may however come to Coranado Island. I haven't been there for several years, and never got the classic races.
I am very happy with the Ferrari victory. It was a battle until the end. A second consecutive victory at Le Mans is incredible 👍 As far as historic cars are concerned, it's a beautiful world, and if you can go and see something from your area, I recommend you do so.
Già, il tracciato 1000 Miglia è cambiato rispetto all'originale (tema su cui secondo me si dovrebbe discutere) ma il passaggio a Ferrara è una certezza che non va toccata 👍
