See methods of creating a credible industrial area to make a great scenic backdrop. It supports mainline through-trains and switching of industrial sidings. This is on an HO layout, but the principals apply to other scales as well.

I hauled out of General Electric in Burlington Iowa in the 90's. Its long since closed down. I hauled electric switch gear. I hauled and got to ride along on the electric railroad on the Keokuk dam.

Dear Charles, very interesting how you’ve added the illusion of perspective to the different perpendicular roads, showing beyond the flat representations of the factories.

It is nice to see buildings that are much larger than the trains. It is a more realistic quality for a model railroad not to look like a toy train set. The selection of your structures for an industrial area is over the top. I hope you will put out a 3rd model railroad dvd in the future.
