I agree with this 100%. I don’t have nearly as many nights as you do, but still most than most people, and it has been fantastic. I do on the screens, mine have holes in them too, I am trying to find a good screen patch kit so I don’t have to redo the entire tent. The newer versions of these tents largely solved the screen issue since now it’s built into the solid canvas zip, instead of being its own flap entirely. It should help protect it. Wind, no problem. Change out the noisy zipper pulls and you can sleep like a baby no matter what. I’m sure your in the same boat I am Richie, we get offered free tents that we can make affiliate money on for showcasing it on our trucks and channels. But those products are inferior for those of us who need our gear to work, and work well. I haven’t yet seen another brand where I see the same solid ruggedness of Alucab, and I am always checking out new gear at the expos. And last, I saw you have my video on your public playlist. I appreciate that man, thank you very much. 🙏
That's a lot of night's "on the road"... I know it's not luxurious, I know it's a lot of work, the nomadic lifestyle still sounds better to me than the city... I hope your dad is doing ok... Thank you for everything you do🤗🤗🤗
This is great!! I find this intriguing. I really enjoy your trips. You take me where I could never go otherwise ...❤ Thank you, Richie. Stay well and be safe 🙏 Texas Nana Psalm 91

Hey Richie, Us in New England have a front row show for the eclipse. Hope to see your camera footage. I already know you won’t miss it 😊 God Bless everyone ❤
God bless you too. Hope nothing major will happen yet, at least not on April 8. If the “Nineveh eclipse” is God’s warning to America, then I presume the punishment and destruction will not start immediately, but at least a few days/weeks later. To formally give the nation of America time to humble itself and repent and fast. Not that the country as a whole is ever going to do it, considering whom the government serves! But I presume at least to observe the formality, God will give it some more time to reconsider… Really what matters here is how God is going to move after His warning has been received by the American nation on April 8. Stay safe I may the Lord Jesus bless and keep you and yours, brother! Shalom from Kyrgyzstan 👋
I enjoyed watching this review. Thanks Richie! You showed more beautiful places and added great music. I'm happy that you have a good quality tent that works well for you for so many years. 👍👏
Thanks Richie, not sure if you already said it or not, are you doing any live streams?? Tomorrow?? Your camera is amazing!! I can't believe how clear the pictures are... Appreciate it Brother, I've been glued to the sky since 2014 after 1st getting on YT, and you were actually the 1st channel I subbed to.. No BS, my Fam was writing to me about you while I was down.
I’ve often wondered what that tent was like and how durable. You sure got your money’s worth Richie. I remember when you got that one. I hope you’re having a good run. Much love always. I’d love to do what you’re doing. Maybe someday.
Here is a minor detail I think is HUGE,,,,, QUAD STITCHING... around the zippers.... and probably other places also,,,,, I have seen 2 and 3 but NEVER 4, NEVER !!!!! Just on that alone is a reason to get an ALU CAB and as you say,,, quality and no problems in 5+ yrs .... I like what I saw !!!!! ,,, Thanks for the video !!!!
Good honest review with no sales pitch, the kind I like, thank you. One sleeping bag for yourself and seven for you partner Mama big foot, we understand that you get lonely out there, it's OK.
As someone that has had a roof top tent close on them in the wind it is not fun it is actually damn near scary. After watching numerous reviews we just purchased a gen 3r it will be our 4th tent and hopefully last. We’ve tried ikamper, gofsr(most comfortable sleep ever) and cvt. Looking forward to the adventures
I had a 96 tacoma with a 4 inch pro comp suspension lift and a 3 inch body. I ran 35 12 50 super swampers on it. It'd go anywhere. It had 67k miles on it when i bought it in 98 and 312k when i sold it in 2014. Toyota are the best trucks on the road hands down. I have a 2018 4 runner now. Not modded at all but im gonna get a straight axle yoyo to mod. I miss the woods.
I remember putting a pop up on my 69 bread box vw bus, converting it into a camper, hitting the road, and as soon as I got out of Maine feeling so exposed and vulnerable I wished I’d done a suv instead. The engine blew up in Tennessee and that was that for hippie $&:t.
I can't say that I have ever had a good laugh when watching one of your videos.......til this one, when you were talking about the new ladder......and it's ability to hold your weight......very funny. Really enjoyed this one.
I bought mine because of you 👋🏻😎 It came with the new and improved ladder. I’ve had it for three years and don’t use it nearly as much as you but absolutely love it. Happy trails pal
As usual a super informative vid kid. This one was a pretty good one especially because I may be in the market in the future if the good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise that is. Right on kid, stay safe maybe someday I'll catch up with ya....
I live in Little Egypt and just pulled up alongside a department of homeland security command center bus today. I do have picture proof. Just so you know, this is small town U.S.A. and it definitely does not belong here.
@@777Maranatha the bus was in murphysboro Illinois, the town that touches the infamous Carbondale Illinois where the x marks the spot is located. The bus was approximately 3-4 miles outside of Carbondale on the same Rd that runs through them both.
@warriorforchrist7247 And why do you think it doesn't belong there? Lol. You realize Carbondale is only like 50 minutes away from Paducah Kentucky where there's a Government department of energy that deals in a lot of stuff, a lot of stuff that's not good for the public to get. Also not that far away from Pourtsmouth Ohio with a similar plant, and even Oak Ridge Tennessee isn't too far away, they built parts for the nukes there. These busses travel all over the country for various reasons but it's not uncommon that they're going to be parked around these areas while sleeping or fueling or whatever they need to do. Don't be so paranoid.
Thanks for this, perfect timing, I'm looking at getting a Land cruiser troopy for a major road trip and I'm deciding what roof tent conversion too get...
Great new video on your other channel. I’d just like to thank you, for the fight you’ve put up over the years. And what a rear guard now. You’ve never surrendered. You won’t realise how many people appreciate this till we’re on the other side. There can’t be long left……
An Absolute Credit To South Africa Richie.... I am not South African. But Rhodesian..! Thank you for you Genuine and Kind Words to my neighbours... Too Lekker Boetie.. May never happen but..? But should you consider hauling your Arse over here with you Cab, you would be most welcome and Utterly looked after by South African, Zimbabwean, Zambian, Namibian Kindness Hospitality to it's Max Bugger...!! Do it before it too late.. Kindest Regards... Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
Couple things MAYBE you should learn what "shilling" is, not that its one bit of your biz what I do. I see you've done nothing other than comment. Im reviewing something I bought and used NOT sponsored and every other channel cant review honestly because they are paid for their input mine is real.
If my garage allowed more than 7' of clearance, I'd still have my RTT mounted. Disappointed in iKamper RTTs, thought they just came out with a "DVO Solo". You planning on being in the Colorado area in August?
@@jailbreakoverlander last year the Sheriff closed Black Bear Pass (BBP). He explained the snow season was long and his people were tied up with other priorities. I moved to TX, to be closer to AZ/CO/UT/NM, hoping this is the year that I can finally do BBP. Keep the awesome videos coming!!! PS, as a US Army vet, I appreciate your focus on durability over marketing hype. :)
@@jailbreakoverlander That’s why I said “it looks”, Richie! And that is why I am asking, for clarification! It looks very short, I will repeat myself. No need to get aggravated. Especially attacking people who love you and who have been praying for you for years, not missing your single video. God is unconditional LOVE, and those who have continuous issues of anger, wrath, irritation, strife, lashing out and yelling at others, etc., will NEVER enter the kingdom of God! That’s what the word of God tells us. I wish you would read the Bible more… 🙏🥺 Is that really 7 feet? Indeed, the eyes are deceiving. Is your vehicle that long, just the roof is 7 feet long? That’s pretty amazing. Don’t attack people for their ignorance in certain fields. You’re not the omniscient God either, and you don’t know many things that I happen to know… especially concerning the word of God and narrow path of Jesus Christ. However, I don’t get angry or irritated at you, nor lash out at you for that. Do I ? 🤔 This is like a different world to me. I know nothing about cars, very little about camping, and definitely nothing about Overlanding or such professional gear! Have some mercy and compassion to people. For God, mercy triumphs above judgment! And those who do not have mercy to others will not receive any mercy from God. That’s another two verses from the Bible, FYI. ☝️⚠️🚨 If you really want to be a Christian child of God, you will heed, instead of lashing out again. God bless you! I hope you get BORN AGAIN very soon. John 3;3,5. Been praying for you since 2016. His will be done. Shalom 👋 👋
