I won't going to get a staccato with the money so worth it. I don't like selling guns out of my collection. But guns with purpose are to be desired most to me. I'm looking to branch out into a duty gun. Sure I have a cz p09, a fn 509, and a beretta 92x. But staccato is just calling me. I couldn't resist. I enjoy my fn 509 more than the fnx 45. I'm more a a colt 45 guy personally. It was fun while it lasted and wouldn't sway anyone away from the fn fnx45 tac. A great gun but I won't miss it.
This gun is built to be suppressed. Should’ve kept it and buy yourself a suppressor. Well of course if only you’re living in a state that’s legal to own suppressor
Suppressors are overrated. Plus I still own two handguns that are suppressor ready anyways. I ended up with the better caliber 10mm fn 510 tactical as this guns replacement. I'm happy so that's all that matters!
I noticed that mine seems to prefer hotter loads. It doesn’t eject very far when firing cheap, weak target loads. I did have one jam with a box of cheap ammo. When I ran a a couple boxes of federal ammo through it, it seemed to eject the shells a little further and I had no jams. I also ran a box of doubletap .450SMC through it and it seemed to actually like it more than normal .45acp.
You forgot to mention this allows a Condition One, cocked and locked, function. That was the "seal the deal" as I dislike double action pistols. You also didn't mention this the highest capacity of any semi auto pistol surpassing Glock 21s 13 round and HKs 10 round capacity. I love my FNX standard. Scrounged and hunted to buy 10 magazines for it. At $50 each they're not cheap but that's what Wilson Combat 1911 magazines cost so I'm used to the butthurt price.
There are other high capacity 45 cal handguns. The tac ultra even comes in a high capacity 10mm. I do like the gun, it is an excellent buy, but I ended up selling it. It was my home defense gun, but it got retired for my fn 509 c tac, and cz p09.
Already did, needed to down size my collection, when I move soon didn't want to have to deal with alot of firearm transportation. Down sizing all my stuff not just guns.
