I agree about the cleats being uncomfortable. But I mean that's what mercs are known for, they are literally made for speed not supposed to be comfortable. I've only worn nike cleats my whole life and last year I started getting a-lot of pain in my feet to so I asked my massage therapist who is an ex olympic athlete and track coach. And she explained to me the reason behind it hurting is actually not the insoles fault as cleats are supposed to have flat and even hard insoles as this helps with ankle stiffens and helps not roll your ankles (look this up if you want) as it gives you more balance and stability. The reason is how narrow the cleats get not just in the front but also in the back it just puts our feet in un natural positions as our feet and toes are supposed to be spread out not squished into a tiny surface. Now that I'm at a D1 school we got to choose our cleats for this year and I chose under armors which is the schools default cleat and I kid you not they are literally perfect, not to heavy, wide toe box and super comfortable.
