Engineered to perfection! Zero thought into how to install it. Gotta love it.

This is exactly how I feel when I try DIY projects around the house. Won't be too bad, 5 hours later and a stream of nonstop obscenities later.

You should see about getting a ryobi or something wet/dry vac that goes on a 5 gal bucket. They got a blower port to launch the jetline out of. Vacuuming a mouse/plastic bag works wonders too. I wish they had such cool battery tools when i was doing it. I had to push fish tapes every inch of the way Jonard or some big name like that also make a throwing ball. Just a little soft and shaped like an avacado. It made just for tossing over trees like this with jetline tied to it

I think that area was built a long time ago and all the techs had bucket trucks.

This makes me thankful I left the cable tv installation industry a long time ago. I thought installing coax was bad. This is a whole new level of hell.

I like that idea you used for the pre term. Hope u don’t mind me snatching your idea. Lol. Clean work brother. Where u from?

Northwest ohio. Not sure what pre term means, but I did upload a video of how the cable caddies where made.

It’s the mst cable. We run those and the flat gel wire too. Just needs to be spliced on both ends

Should have gotten a bucket assist on getting over those trees. No harness either? Dude if OSHA rolls up on you its gonna be bad. Be safe brother

Ya they were right there where it dropped. Which don't bother me much since they are less than 5 dollars. If the sidecuts go missing I will search awhile to save that 30 bucks.

That sucks you gotta do those drops off a ladder,

Is there a maximum length you can pull fiber? Good old google answered my question.... In general, single-mode fiber optic cable can be pulled for distances of up to 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) or more without requiring any signal regeneration or amplification. However, it is important to note that the actual distance can be influenced by factors like signal loss, attenuation, and dispersion.
@nick21614
@nick21614 Месяц назад
Depends on where the OLT is and how many splits are on the PON. A remote OLT (6 miles) will have a shorter range than an OLT in a central office with climate control (12 miles). If you are just doing point to point connections then that range can be up to 75 miles.

I think we had a crew at one time pre dropping and burying but they went away. Now we just have plenty of "out of towners" doing shitty work

I'm interested in your lazy susan style reel stand. What did you use on the bottom? A standard lazy susan platter for a kitchen?
@naturallyrootedgrowers
@naturallyrootedgrowers Месяц назад
The bearings just fell out of it, it has been out in the rain too much. I will shoot a video this week about it when I change the lazy susan part. My other caddy that I use for the big rolls has been good other than the wood is starting to fall apart from being out in the weather also. This is the menards part I used Shepherd Hardware 12" Lazy Susan Turntable Bearing Model Number: 9549 Menard SKU: 2173362

COMMSCOPE FHD-X01B-1000F, it's the biggest premade mst style that they tell me . The regular roll we use is 2000ft. The longest is about 1200ft that I've done.

over 850ft is $100 for the drop, plus $50 for activation, got a wall fish charge , paid per splice, and also a custom labor charge for 5 hour install. came to like $225 45/hour
