In this episode, I share with you my thoughts on this insane 1000HP Triple Rotor Turbo Mazda Eunos Cosmo 20B. Considered as the unicorn of Mazda's rotary motor vehicles, the Cosmo 20B is an extremely rare and highly sought after machine. Sporting all the right components from factory, it was a car that Mazda had truly engineered to the highest level. Plagued by the Japanese bubble of the 90s, it was a car that flew under the radar and many of which are now hidden and tucked away by collectors. The Cosmo never reached a comparable level of stardom like the RX-7, however for those who know, it is a car that ultimately speaks for itself and for those who wish to take the Mazda Eunos Cosmo to the next level, this particular example is one that stands firmly in a league of its own. An unbelievable driving machine... Find out what I think of this car in the video!

I've been a massive RX-7 for as long as I knew what cars were, but I've just fallen in love with this car. It's like that gut feeling you get when you meet the girl you know you wanna be with for life. What a lovely piece of machinery.

One of the best builds I've seen on YT. I love the way it's kept the stock look inside and out. That motor is just a sensation. So driveable and the noise is just sublime. Absolute credit to those involved and the detailing is the biscuits. A really well done job.

The Cosmo doesn’t really have mod support so not much body kits came for it and the interior is just beautiful stock

There was also a 13b version of the Cosmo. The 20b version is actually quite a bit rarer and harder to find these days. The only ones I see for sale are in a shocking state. This 1 is 1 of the cleanest I've ever seen.

I bloody love this car. It’s everything the RX-7 should and could have been in terms of performance and cool sci-fi displays (for the time) while not giving the driver a hernia every time they go over a pothole or bumpy road. Which is good, because here in Australia there are heaps of bumpy roads outside the city parts. It’s an Absolute beauty of engineering. All these need is a manual transmission, and it’s perfect. What a ripper!

my favorite Gran Turismo 1 car 👍😉 the 20B is such a great engine, and to be honest its my favorite sounding rotary. Its got a real growl to it, rather than the 'tinny' sounding 12A and 13B's. The look of the Cosmo is really impressive, those lines, shape, and Tourer design. Even the interior and flowing dash is sleek. Its soo much better than its nearest rival, the Toyota Soarer (itself an impressive car).

Cosmo was a very rare import in the 90's in Aus. You would have seen them in Hot 4's or at Auto Salons. They looked awesome then, they still look awesome.

Definitely a very good example. Im hoping to snatch one for the collection AGAIN one day. I sold mine around 10years ago but kept the 20b for my rx8. Ever since I’ve dreamed of owning one again. Seeing this reminded me of the rare times I’d see one on the road. The excitement and want. Hats off to this owner.

Admittedly ive not seen ALL your videos Clay, but i fully expect you've already had your Rotor cherry popped before driving a 20B BEAST? Honestly, if this is the very first Rotary you've ever experienced id have to go run a cold shower to cool off, because like most people that know little about the Brap, even just finding a car like that in Melbourne let alone DRIVING the 750RWKW 20B Cosmo is SO UNBELIEVABLY LUCKY! How you managed to score that car for your channel i have no idea, but good on ya bro, this will make hundreds of other content creators JEALOUS AS ALL F##K . Thats a brand new build for Melbourne, and Australia. Until now, id expect no more than a handful of people have even seen this masterpiece. massive props to the owner. I wonder if he knows about the shop not far from the filming location that specialises in building and tuning 20Bs since 2001. Last thing i have to ask mate, did the owner tell you before or after your test drive that he left the boost on wastegate pressure to see how you got on with it?

Darian Istead okay? Still have the fastest Drag cars 💀PR could easily make Competive Race cars besides drag racing except we don’t because we like Drag racing the most. We don’t even care for drifting that much. NZ is not even top 3 on the Import world List in Drag racing or Rotary Listings Compared to PR.....

@@thelastgear8972 The same can be said for New Zealand/Australia, competitive drag racing isn't important. It's alot harder to build a competitive reliable track/drift car than one that runs for a few seconds in a straight line.

That’s either some insane throttle control or super low boost; which to be fair if I owned that and handed the keys to someone else... yep would totally do that. Wheel fitment on the rear is rubbish, and vented gate sounds stupid. You guys have some tacky roads over there or something? - because a 400hp 13B turbo will fry tyres easier than that. Alright now internet nerd rage is out if the way; bloody tidy car! I’ve only seen a couple as tidy. Some folks might remember Lance Warren of 3rotor.com back in the day... good to see these things still getting love.

RX-Vision should've been called the Cosmo-Vision. It really seems like it when you look at some of the design cues. The world isn't ready for another RX yet... Give us a new Cosmo! Because....this Cosmo here is a unicorn ride for sure, if not all pre-existing Cosmos. I'm feeling the 2022 rotary-hybrid RX-30 is going to be a test mule and that a Cosmo is in the forefront. It would be a great path to make for the next RX-

What an absolute beauty and with that 3 rotor rotory engine it sounds amazing, and they also sound like a f1 engine that's what I like about it when you add more rotors to it. Like for instance the famous Mazda 787 b that was in one of the grand tourismo games, that car hands down sounds way better than any f1 engine imo. Sick review! i Had one of these back in the Old days but for Donor Parts I was a Little Lost when you said 55mm Turbo, Easy mistake when taking in Info from another Owner Garret 55R

Fkn brilliant !!! This car is a legend that not many even “car people” know about ! This particular example is utter magnificence ! Visceral perfection. You can stick your electric cars up your arse. Modern car manufacturing and political correct emission standard and electric fkn crap is for shit, everything is the same today, no one does anything different or tries things like this. The next generation are going to be deprived of things like this ! Hats off to this Cosmo 👌
