that MR2 is a beast on the streets, not only is very light weight but its a mid engine car wich means its got very good traction, i love that build a K20 is MR2 nice!!!

that boost by gear held that S2000 back from competing with or beating the MR2, but i understand trying to put down 1000hp all at once destroys your hopes of getting traction with a RWD car
+Sergio Aguirre ok so I'm trying to get this correct. A 1000hp supra wipes the floor with vettes, bikes and 900hp+ cars. Most likely you've seen it but a 900hp mr2 wipes the floor with anything out there. Nothing catches it, not even bikes or a 1200hp supra. And your saying you make 1000hp in a car that weighs close to a mr2 and a 700hp rx7 keeps up with you and 800hp vette beats you. So what's wrong here? I'm lost. Have you seen the TRC 1000hp S2k? That shit fast, way faster then yours.
Dude spent all that time and money swapping a 2J into his S2K (which is badass don't get me wrong im not a hater). Only to get beat by a Honda powered MR2 haha. Badass cars though for sure! And awesome vid!
The MR2 turbo has always been one of my favorite JDM Cars only because it's very underestimated it's like the underdog... I'm pretty sure if the s2k can put all of its power to the ground it would stand a chance
When are people gonna learn that just because a car claims to, or does have more hp than another car, doesn't mean that higher hp car will always win. Anyone who races or even watches street racing should have seen plenty of cars get beat by cars with much less claimed hp. Perfect example is these Corvettes, they don't make the peak hp of the ricers but the power they do make is higher over a longer RPM range making the car much easier to stay on the meat of the power curve. Just because a car claims 1000hp doesn't mean dick if it only makes that hp for 500rpm and falls on its face everywhere else. If the highest peak hp car always won then street racing would die off, but because the highest hp car doesn't always win, we keep loving the idea of beating the guy with big hp with our lower hp cars. Just like the people who look in a car and if the speedo goes to 85, 120, 140, ect they really believe that's exactly how fast the car can go,lol. I love fast cars of any kind, and myself and everyone I know into racing or building fast weekend cars even, we all put in the late nights and sometimes all night, thrash days just to squeeze a few extra hp out of our cars, why? Because we wanna beat that guy that has a 800hp car with our 650hp car, cause I'm sure most car guys will agree that it's a great feeling to line up next to someone with a big money high hp car and drag his ass with your car that has half the money into it and less power as well. So to all the people who simply look at the hp claims and argue that the highest hp has to win or he must be bullshitting about the numbers, your missing out on the whole reason we race, and until you feel that pride of dragging someone's ass who has a more powerful ride than you, you won't understand.....
What do you say about factory RB30 Holdens? My Ls3 swapped S2000 is still an S2000. Do you call a factory F22C S2000 not an S2000 because it doesn't have the 9120+rpm fuel cut of the JDM model F20C? It's a different engine too.
It's not an actual s2000 as made by Honda though is it? It used to be. Now its a modded project car based on an s2000. You would not call it an s2000 if someone welded the body panels from an s2000 onto a drag car would you? I do get why someone would still refer to it as an s2000 though, it still looks like one.

Same with the RX, if it doesnt have a rotary build, then it isnt a proper RX, and before someone says it is, let me tell you that a proper RX is extremelly good in corners, but with a heavy LS in it, guess what......

my ears tell me that s2000 was turn way down in the lower gears to keep the tires from roasting, the car sounds totally different once it shifts out of the gear he takes off in... when he walked by that rx7 at the end its pretty obvious.
If the S2k had better Boost by gear and its stock engine, then it would catch up to that MR2 and have a small chance of beating it although the K series is insane with 900 HP
S2K owner is a friend of mine. He's not lying. Hes got dyno vids up on the net. Everyone knows his car well on the street. His car makes around 900whp.
I said that because the "800 hp" Z06 kept getting walked by the 630 hp Z06. Looks like he's putting down more like 570 not 800, I doubt it's even seen a dyno or his blower would add power instead of leach it. As for the S2K, I think 900 is more accurate. Numbers aren't everything but when you're claiming you're a wizard they get examined closer. They're roll racing at 60 I'm assuming, so when he's shifted once during the race it's pretty damn safe to say he's in full boost now. But still not pulling on the 780 hp mazda. I noticed during one race it looks as if the Honda is pulling for a second at the end but I think it was just the mazda shifting. All very impressive cars, except the "800hp" ZO6" that guy must be half tarded he's going to ruin it.
