Can I just that every time people complain to me that they can't make great art without custom brushes I point them to your videos and your swordsman brush. Its all about technique knowledge and experience! Love your work and your style! Keep up the fantastic work

Same, I actually discovered you and your channel because of TheFatRat, specifically from his official video of "Monody". It was just a random recommended video I saw while watching some stuff on youtube and at that moment I was kinda itching for some new music to listen to and I went "oh what the heck, let's just check this out, whatever it is". Music's amazing and catchy! But the artwork captivated me even more. That's when I tried looking for the artist and I must say, stumbling upon your art was one of the greatest things that happened in my art journey. I often find my self searching your name on google or youtube every time I'm to make a landscape art and I learned a lot from observing your speedpaints. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge to everyone.

Dude, I get a lot of questions on how I've progressed so quickly over the 1.5 - 2 years I've been painting (not regularly even) and I always point out that you're videos are key to my own development and I always send them your way. Watching your timelapses have taught me about workflow, technique and how to make the environments more visually interesting. I can't thank you enough for all the help you've given me so far. Thank you!

The speed-painting is kind of an extension from the tutorial videos, after watching the in-depth narration tutorials it becomes a lot easier to understand what is happening in the speed-painting videos and the thought processes throughout the speed-painting without watching the full multi-hour process. I really appreciate both types of videos to learn how to get better in general.

Great video! Congratulations on 100K! I have to thank you for being my very first influence and inspiration for landscape illustrations and concept art a couple of years ago. Your approach is lovely and has so much that can be learned from it. Here is to many more great artist years, and for this kind, growing community! :) Cheers!

I'm honestly really glad my videos can help in any way, if they have any effect other than showing people how I draw it's an added bonus. Don't stop drawing! It is tough but just make sure you're creating things you want to create and it will come naturally, trust me!

Honestly you really gave me hope. Im 20 and began digital art at 18, i don't think im very good but recently i've really come to like concept art and I'm now sure it's what I wanna do for a living. So I started looking for vids and tutorials and I simply fell in love with your channel . Hearing you say you started at 19 and looking at your work I really feel inspired to improve and do awesome stuff like u :D -Greetings from Colombia

Do keep on keeping on! You are an inspiration to me, and this video especially, due to having that same issue of wondering why would anyone would want to follow me painting and talking about software, especially software that most people don't know about. So, I guess I just need to keep on keeping on, too.

Still watching, great video! I always wondered, what’s the niche that you are taking right now? I love painting landscapes but it feels as if there is not much work for that in game dev or something similar. What is the main thing you do for work ?

I alao have one question: what can you say about the cons/pros of lineart vs painting? I've seen many people use lineart to make their concept arts or illustrations as well as painting (without or with almost no line art). I've seen you use some lineart at the beginning of your paintings but you mostly use that technique where you use that freeform outline tool (or what ever its called xD) that gets filled automatically. So what do you prefer and what would you say are the essential differences?

Congratulations on the 100k, it’s very well deserved, without doubt one of my favourite artists in RU-vid. I would like to say something on the subject of time lapses. Waffle inbound. If I’m honest, I think the truth about time lapse videos is... they show a lot, but teach very little. It’s a little like a magic trick. A magician shows you everything, but that doesn’t teach you how to do the trick... that’s not to knock time lapses, as you say, you do also do actual tutorials, it’s just to say, for those learning, they teach very little. They’re exceptionally helpful for the intermediate artist... someone who knows photoshop and the fundamentals of art itself, can get a lot from a time lapses, but those in the early stages of their journey, no, if anything I honestly think they can be very disheartening... to use my magician analogy, if you are also an intermediate magician, you would have a far greater understanding of how a trick works, just by watching it, than someone only just beginning... time lapses are similar. This is coming from someone who has had a 30 year career doing art by he way, comics and concept art mostly. And has also done a little teaching. Just to double down on my point, imagine going to art school and all the teachers did was played high speed videos of painting being done. You just wouldn’t learn much. As I say, that’s not to knock the time lapses, they are hugely helpful to those a certain way down their journey, and, as you say, you do also do full tutorials. So it doesn’t just sound like I am knocking time lapses, I’m not...Heres some advice to those just starting who are trying to get the most from a time lapse. RU-vid can be played at .25% speed... I highly recommend it for a time lapse. While playing at that speed, pause to check things like layer settings or what tool is being used at a specific point. Also grab a copy of the finished image and spect the end result, colours, composition, tones etc. And try and apply what you are learning of fundamentals elsewhere, to this finished image and how that was achieved from what you are watching in the time lapse and how the artist got to that final piece. Jordan is a great example of someone who reworks and rebalances their composition, not just shape, but tone and colour over and over as the piece develops. One thing I would ask that would make a time lapses instantly more helpful to everyone, is just to say roughly how long a piece took, and so how much a video is sped up by... I think one of the most deceiving things about time lapses is it makes everyone think the paintings only take a couple of hours... and that makes everyone feel they’re too slow and can never make it as an artists. A simple line in the description saying how long it took and by how much the video was sped up would make a time lapse instantly more helpful to all... Anyway... enough waffle from me...absolutely love the channel, congrats on the 100k, well deserved, and here’s to the next 100k :)
