I look at the comments and dispair of genuine honesty, Chalmers is in the twilight of his career and is still so good, McEvoy is also in his twilight, yet if these two can come togheter for the 100 x3 in 2024 it will be interesting.

100 FR is the most difficult race at these levels. See Mac Evoy swimming 47.04 during trials but never came close to it again. The pressure is immense for the record holder and being fast is not enough. Only guys with a strong mental game like Popov could achieve similar results.

@HenriHattar
@HenriHattar 11 месяцев назад
NO ! In this "long course pool" yes! But in the short course pool Chalmers is the workld record holder.
@kaykeyvan8029
@kaykeyvan8029 11 месяцев назад
A lot of potential reasons. It's really difficult for an athlete to replicate let alone exceed their past peak performance. David may have not tapered properly coming into the championships. He may have had unforeseen circumstances and that may have impacted his prep. He also fell off the top 3 in the 200m earlier in the championships in the last 50m which may have had a potential impact on his mental coming up to the 100m. There's a plethora of reasons. Don't forget he is also only 18 years old and doesn't have as much competition experience as someone like Kyle Chalmers who is likely more composed during his races. Although being a world record holder, someone as young as him still has work to do as an athlete.

@yulyul6376
@yulyul6376 11 месяцев назад
A Tokio stava rimontando Dressel.
@paolobuonarroti
@paolobuonarroti 11 месяцев назад
@yulyul6376
@yulyul6376 11 месяцев назад
@@paolobuonarroti ma non guardare le interviste. Guarda come nuotano in vasca. Cosa poteva limare?
