I was watching the live stream in Adelaide, Australia, and noted that in the 88th minute the betting odds for Cardiff to win had risen to 70 to 1. As a Leeds supporter who was badly wanting a Cardiff victory, I thought to myself: "As a show of faith, I'd put a fiver down on those odds right now if I could." When the last-minute madness unfolded, I remember thinking: there goes my imaginary $350, but no one will believe me anyway! At least the final result was real --even if it beggared belief!
Well done to Cardiff; put the pressure on and made trouble for Ipswich in the box which is going to make chances. A lesson for Ipswich defending a slim lead; I think if you are going to sit back and try to run the clock down you've got to defend much better than that!
You were definitely the better team in the first half but second half we were all over you! Just poor defending from Ipswich which meant you scored 2 goals in quick succession.
If that was Leicester the whole Internet of trolls would be calling for heads and sackings and nonsense. But as it is Ipswich there seems to be a modicum of common sense applied. No-one in this league is going to lie down. It’s just how it is.
@@teegee84 It's both. Ipswich have done an amazing job to remain in the hunt for automatic promotion all season, but there's no doubting that you need a big slice of luck to win as many comeback games as they have, and score that many last gasp equalizers and winners. Having the fourth leakiest defence in the Championship isn't exactly a sign of great tactics.
@@tomstorey8559 You only finished in the bottom 3 because you sacked Bielsa. Leicester only did because they didn't replace Schmeichel. You're both mid-table teams in the prem apart from that clownage. Thanks for breaking the league though
@@pajanightbadger1713 no we sacked bielsa because under his management we would have got relegated as we were losing 5-0 every week and conceded something stupid like 24 goals in a single month of four or five games, thankfully we stayed up on the last day of the season
Your 20 points behind us we had just won 6 in a row before today and don’t tell me it’s luck cos we score late goals because that’s exactly what you lot were doing when you won the league 2019
1) 8 minutes minimum. Delays and time wasting during extra time are added on otherwise winning teams have license to stop the game completely. 2) Refs rarely end the match during an attack on goal (and typically allow corners to play out). If Ipswich had cleared the ball into midfield, the ref would probably have blown his whistle.
yeah average attendance is 60-70% of cardiffs capacity, when cardiff was in the prem it was much higher. this IS the stadium of the wales national team as well mind, so it does need to be big.
