I’m definitely grateful that you appreciate that. Because it does get very meticulous 😅 That’s usually the first thing I plan out first, the tempo map. Most of the time, just matching it to the original track works, but sometimes the tempo fluctuates in subtle ways and so I have to be extra careful then. That said, I think that’s a big part of what makes these tracks so unique and awesome, and so i almost always love to remake them as close to the original as they were intended to be!

When I covered the Majin theme and especially imperfect cells theme I felt that struggle but also loved the challenge with how specific you have to be with them and over time it’s become the most fun part! Though when I did goku battles 19, I took it as an excuse to do a full ok thrash metal song but I appreciate you keeping the timings! I couldn’t find anyone else who even covered this song besides us :)

😁👊 I have the grandiose idea of taking DBZ Kai and adding my Faulconer remakes into the soundtrack (not completely replacing the Kai score but just adding it where I think it would serve the story). It would be a lot of work but it would be like making my definitive version of DBZ 😅

@@GladiusThemes i second your idea.... one of the main reasons that i still prefer DBZ over DBZ kai is Chris Sabat's old vegeta voice and the Faulconer OSTs... bringing even one of them back to Kai would really make it "Definitive"👍🏻

You’re right!! I did say that 🥺 But as the date approached, I decided to make a different video instead- originally I was going to do an Ultimate Faulconer Productions Collection of my remakes, with about 36 tracks. But I didn’t have enough time to finish the remaining tracks (I have made part of DBZ finale already btw). So in the end I decided to make a FP battle mix compilation. Also it gives me time to save that video for a more special date potentially. Yes I’m sorry about the new manga stuff, I have plans to work through the music for the Granolah Arc too very soon. I want to get all up to date with the Manga before Daima comes out, so I can do remakes for the Daima OST while we’re all watching it :) I may have to take another break from posting, but in actuality, I will be continuing to make music and art for the channel for the next batch :) I appreciate your continued support my friend 🥰

It could be due to the lack of credit the producers got. Despite being called the Faulconer Score, there's not really a song made by him.

@@geneticlemon6629 I know that. People understand it quicker when it’s named that. Everything else is still valid

It’s quite a sonic difference from the original Kikuchi score, and its songs such as Cha La, Unmei No Hi etc. So if you grew up watching the original DB and DBZ, it will come as quite a noticeable change watching it with the Faulconer music. So I can completely understand why people wouldn’t like it, as sonically, it departs from the classic, martial arts style orchestral sound. As someone who grew up watching the dub with the Faulconer soundtrack, and have come to love the original score too, having studied and made remakes of pieces from both; I see them as the alternate realities of the same story. Because, they definitely feel very different, yet, it’s the same adventure, the same characters, same struggles. That to me, is incredibly fascinating. I plan to make a video essay on this one day to share more of my thoughts on the subject.

@@GladiusThemes Sounds interesting, hopefully if you ever get a chance prior to doing that, you could check out the Hit Song Collections where most of the songs as well as tracks like Solid State Scouter or BPU originally came from, since they're decidedly more contemporary sounding than the main score and were practically being spammed throughout the original series run (but with only a few getting used in the actual series and most others being image songs).
