Thank you so much! I was trying to do this last night (with the exact mic and headphones that are recommended) and my interviewee could not hear me at all. I think I’ll try it again, but plug the headphones into the mic like you suggested.
I am keen to know about adding intro and outro and transition music or effects to a podcast. Is that done in riverside or in editing software after the podcast is made?
Hi, This may be elementary but what happens when you "publish" an episode on Transistor? Where does it go? Can people listen to the podcast? I'm confused with the show being "published" but it's not on a platform like Apple or Spotify.
You need to submit your RSS feed to Apple Podcasts and Spotify separate. That's a one-time process. Then every time you publish a new episode in something like transistor, the episode will show up everywhere for people to listen. you can learn more about that process here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SwjGD-gGLJ0.htmlsi=4Hik9nXXZcIVZmaA
If you're using a mixer, yes you can do that for sure. But when using a USB mic specifically, plugging in the headphones to the mic is the only way to monitor your own voice with zero latency
There are third-party apps like Camp that allow you to use an iPhone as a webcam even with a windows pc. I go through those options here! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FeUKIejoy60.htmlsi=kdWIQywOEvpUBPCr
Same issues as others .. Im starting to regret joining riverside. See since they don't explain the full process i made and open a Spotify Podcast account and apple aswell before doing my clips on riverside. Now im more confused then ever. I never was told about transistor because riverside avoids it and makes more videos about lights and microphone etc.
Sorry for the confusion, he have videos on podcast hosts specifically here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TnWA3D8OVDw.htmlsi=wXMBrMoonRDJMcOZ
You can place multiple guests side-by-side or use our AI layout to focus on the main speaker and everyone else in picture-in-picture. You just can't change layouts mid-edit (but we know that's an often requested feature...)
I'm sorry I'm sincerely not trying to be rude. But could you make a video for beginners please? This video has too much information, most of which I do not understand. If it was just basic information on how to use Riverside, then that would have been great. @@Riversidefm
Quick Question. I recorded a Test Podcast (Video And Audio On Riverside) And me And My Guest Both Left Before the Download For the Files Were Complete To 100%. The Video Was Very Out Of Sync And Etc Is this Because you Need to Let All the Audio Files Download To 100% first or is there anything else that makes my podcast Not Sync Properly And Doesn’t Generate The Whole Podcast Start to Finish. Thanks
You and your guest may need to visit this link in the browser and on the computer you used to record: riverside.fm/upload it will look for any unfinished uploaded files and complete the process. If you're still having trouble, click the question icon in your Riverside dashboard and start a live chat, they can help!
No disrespect, what makes your video different from all the other individuals. That's showing individuals how to start a podcast, From what I been watching and hearing they all start off about the equipment. And they never take there time to really explain things to new individuals, so far you are doing a great job
This is super helpful, thank you! Just one question, on the pricing plan it states "5 hours of separate audio & video tracks per month", so if I had 4 guests + myself for one episode and we recorded for an hour, would that be all my hours gone? or is it per recording session? thanks
That's per recording session! So with 4 guests + yourself recording for 1 hour, that's 1 hour on Riverside. You should be able to do a weekly, hour-long podcast on the plan with your setup!
So maybe this is a dumb question, but with Riverside, for a Video podcast, would we still need to purchase an audio recording device? such as the zoom podtrak device? Or does riverside take care of that as well?
No bad questions! And if you have a USB mic and a computer, Riverside will be your "recording device." Audio files are recorded locally once you start a Riverside recording, and you'll be able to access those files from your Riverside dashboard once you're done!
I have been trying to get someone from Riverside sales to contact me about an business account. I just went on line again and followed through on support trying to schedule a meeting and then received a message" Oh no something went wrong we could schedule" HELP
