Fact 102: Both Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are lefties. Paul plays a left-handed Höfner 500/1 while Ringo plays a right-handed drum kit.

Interesting facts not mentioned: - John Lennon's mother had 3 childern, John, his sister Julia and another sister, Ingrid. She gave up Ingrid for adoption. She was raised in Norway and when she found her birth certificate, she found out she's related to John Lennon. - Paul McCartney is the richest musician in the game, he's a billionaire. - The rights for the Beatles songs aren't owned by the Beatles but by Michael Jackson's inheritees. He bought the rights before McCartney and Ono managed to. - When John Lennon died, he was on speaking terms with both Ringo and Paul but he and George were actually in an argument and didn't speak for years before Lennon's death. - McCartney dreamt the melody for Yesterday. He also dreamt about his mother, Mary, coming to him and telling him "Let It Be" when the situation in the band started to get heavy. - John Lennon was bisexual. He was outed by Yoko Ono in 2016. - The most popular beatles song on I-tunes is "Here Comes The Sun" by George. - The Beatles released two more songs in the 90's as a special project in connection to the Anthology series about the band. Those songs were originally unfinished demos by John from before he died and were on a tape with a note "For Paul". - Some speculate that Stuart Sutcliffe died of aneurysma as a result to being brutally beaten by furious, drunk John Lennon when he announced that he's leaving the band because he wanted to get married. - John and Paul communicated through their songs in late Beatles albums and early 70's. Song such as "Oh! Darling" is actually for John Lennon. But the most notable of those is "How Do You Sleep" which is a very nasty disstrack on McCartney by Lennon. - "Hey Jude" is a song Macca wrote for Julian Lennon to make him feel better about his parents' divorce. - Ringo narrated "Thomas The Tank Engine".

Only one I've heard different is that Stuart Sutcliffe got the injury to his head when the group was attacked outside a club in Hamburg

I think John and Ringo were always on speaking terms after the breakup because they worked on each other's albums several times in the 1970s but George worked with him a few times too but not as much as Ringo and Ringo and George both play on how do you sleep at night which was very nasty of John too make it seem like they were all ganging up on Paul

Billy God damn Preston???? What just because he played on the Let It Be album? NO if anyone was the 5th Beatle it was Sir George.
@ferdiahunt327
@ferdiahunt327 5 лет назад
Billy Preston seriously??? He played on like 2 songs I think it's between Brian Epstein and George Martin but Stuart Sutcliffe is worth a mention aswell he left the band to pursue his art career not because the band didn't like him like Pete Best and when they went to Hamburg they expected too meet him there but were told he had died as a tribute too him and too show how much he meant too them he's on the cover of Sgt Pepper and the anthology albums in the 1990s
@doesnotexist305
@doesnotexist305 5 лет назад
Billy Preston was on 4 Beatles songs. How was he the Fifth Beatle? Pete Best was on far more songs than that. So was Stu Sutcliffe. George Martin produced and arranged all of their work. Brian Epstein managed them. Hell, even Yoko (gasp) has a better claim to being the Fifth Beatle than Billy Preston.

interesting facts you missed: 1. Brian Wilson from the beach boys was inspired by rubber soul to write pet sounds. when the Beatles responded with sgt. pepper, brian actually broke down in tears. 2. John and Paul actually hated the song "while my guitar gently weeps" so much that they refused to play the guitar on it, so George had to bring in Eric Clapton to do it for him. 3. "something" is the only George Harrison song to ever have been released as a single 4. "hey Jude" was written by Paul for John's son Julian after John divorced his previous wife to marry Yoko Ono (ew) 5. the Beatles and the Rolling Stones were often said to have a rivalry, but that wasn't true, they were actually really good friends.
@JoesAnimationHub
@JoesAnimationHub 4 года назад
the first one is almost true... The Beatles did respond with Sgt. Pepper but it was Strawberry Fields Forever (which was a double A side with Penny Lane) that made Wilson break down in tears.
@JoesAnimationHub
@JoesAnimationHub 6 лет назад
some fun facts that could've also made this list... Penny Lane was also considered for Pepper... George Harrison's original contribution to Pepper was "Only a Northern Song" Brian Epstein's last known appearance at EMI Studios was the session for "Your Mother Should Know" The Beatles heard about Brian's death from a passer by in Bangor, Wales... where they were meeting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi with Mick Jagger. The BBC cocked up with the first broadcast of "Magical Mystery Tour" broadcasting the special in black and white and promptly disturbing and frightening the viewers. The rarest Beatle performance to date is their performance of "Ticket to Ride" on Top of the Pops, with a snippet of the footage only available in a William Hartnell episode of Doctor Who "The Chase", the full performance wiped from the BBC archives. As a further fun fact relating to the BBC Sci-Fi franchise John Lennon appeared at Cannes film festival with one of Terry Nation's iconic Daleks behind him, made for the Amicus film "Dr. Who and the Daleks" film starring Peter Cushing and Roy Castle. Only Paul and Ringo have had the distinction of playing iconic children's fictional characters from books, Paul McCartney playing Rupert the Bear, and Ringo iconically playing the role of the narrator in Thomas the Tank Engine. Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite's lyrics are all on the poster John Lennon owned apart from the Horse (originally named Zanthus). The Poster is currently on display in the Liverpool Museum as of 2019. Yellow Submarine originally had an opening narration by Ringo which wasn't omitted in the final piece. Although it was released with the "Real Love" single. Harrison's "It's All Too Much" almost made Magical Mystery Tour. Even more interesting is that it is the second longest Beatles song as the full version of it clocks in at 8 minutes 9 seconds... "Hey Bulldog" was the only song made from scratch for the film "Yellow Submarine". Ghandi was originally in the Sgt Pepper Audience but a reshoot was done with him removed. The Sgt Pepper Drum had 2 skins... one with the final image shown on the album, while the other skin bore a heart in the centre. In "Your Mother Should Know" Paul wears a black carnation since they ran out of red, this alluded to the "Paul is Dead" theory. In 1965/1966 prior to the friend's death Paul was involved in a moped accident with Guinness heir Tara Browne in which he chipped his tooth and later grew the famous moustache which ushered the way to the Sgt Pepper era. during 1970 when asked by a fan if "Hey Jude" was about his son Julian a drunken John Lennon stated sarcastically it was about Brian Epstein and it was originally called "Gay Jew" to which the patrons responded "nah, nah nah nahnahnahnaaaaaah, nahnahnahnaaaaaah, gay jew" John Lennon often sang "I want to hold your gland" during tours in the song "I want to hold your hand". Much of the dialogue in "Yellow Submarine" is written uncredited by Liverpool poet Roger McGough. Penny Lane originally was going to have English Horns and Cor Anglais in the piece, something Paul changed when he heard David Mason on television. During the Rooftop concert Ringo wears his wife Maureen (Mo) Starkey's red rain mac while John wears one of Yoko's fur coats.

Hey bulldog was originally going to be "hey bullfrog" until, I believe it was Paul who started barking during the recording/practice
@miabussell0229
@miabussell0229 5 лет назад
Penny Lane wasn't just considered, but it and Strawberry Fields Forever were meant to appear on Pepper before the band was pressured to release a single, which ended up being the double A-side. The Beatles were against having previously released singles on LP's, so the songs didn't appear on the album.

On the 8th of Dec. 1980 I was at the club Abbey Road in San Antonio Tx. when we were notified of the murder of John. It was quite the somber evening as a good amount of time was spent in silence and many tears. Ultimately, Beatles music was blaring and all attending took to becoming quite inebriated in his honor. The first round after the grieving had begun was on the house.

You forgot to mention the movie Help the Beatles starred in. There was also a movie called Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band which starred The Beeges playing as Sgt. Peppers band members.

oh yeah, the Robert Stigwood film... In my opinion how Stigwood could've made that film work, was have it about either the villain stealing the instruments OR the evils of big corporations... probably the latter, get rid of the Abbey Road and Let it Be stuff... add in "Good Morning Good Morning" and "Within You Without You", and change the name of Strawberry Fields to Lovely Rita. Also have the story narrated in small bits and have actual dialogue. The film gets very jumbled in places with lots of plot holes. Compare it to Yellow Submarine which only has one plot hole where Paul says "Didn't Old Fred mention something about the sea of holes just before the sea of green". While it is a good muse to make Beatle based villains (Mean Mr. Mustard and Maxwell Edison) it isn't a good outline for a Beatles film.

Ringo is bae! Best Beatle although, I listen to them all equally as the group and as solo artists.
