Don’t forget Felix The Cat, Scooby-Doo, Magilla Gorilla, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Gumby(& his side-kick Pokey the horse), Davey & Goliath(his dog), Sherman & Mr. Peabody( his genius dog), Tennessee Tuxedo, Crusader Rabbit, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Mighty Mouse, Feivel the Mouse, Tom & Jerry(including Spike the dog & his son Tyke), Speedy Gonzalez(the mouse), Top Cat, Lippy the Lion and Hardy Har Har(Lippy’s side-kick who is a sad hyena), Wally Gator, Popeye the Sailor Man(& his rival Bluto or Brutus & their girl friend Olive Oyl), Bozo the Clown, David Seville & the 3 Chipmunks (Alvin, Simon, & Theodore), The Flintstones(Fred Flintstone & his wife Wilma & baby daughter Pebbles, & their neighbors & friends Barney Rubble, his wife Betty, & baby son Bamm-Bamm), The Jetsons ( George Jetson & his wife & teenage daughter & son Elroy & their dog & robot maid. George worked for Spacely Sprockets which had a rival Cogswell Cogs.), Woody Woodpecker, Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote, Donald Duck, Daffy Duck, Howard The Duck, Bugs Bunny (with hunter Elmer Fudd who is always trying to catch Bugs & who says “Dag Nabbit, dat Wabbit!”), QuickDraw McGraw( & his side-kick Baba Louie who looks like a Mexican mouse. QuickDraw’s favorite weapon is a guitar. When he hits a bad guy over the head with it, he says “el kabong!”.), Huckleberry Hound, Augie Doggie & Doggie Daddy, Heckle & Jeckle (who are magpies which are birds who make fun of other critters), Yogi Bear (& his son or little side-kick Boo Boo), The Jackson 5ive cartoons, Peanuts cartoons ( with Charlie Brown, Lucy; Schroeder [who plays Beethoven classics on a toy piano], Linus, Pigpen, Franklin, Peppermint Patty, the little red-haired girl,...)...the list goes on and on. I was born in 1953, I liked cartoons as a kid, and I still like them. Whenever I watch cartoons, I laugh and forget troubles and worries.

I really wish i was born in the 60’s. Such great stuff back then. Im a 2006 baby and i cant stand the music and shows in my generation. I much rather the 60’s with The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Motown records, etc. My favorite TV shows from the 60’s have to be Gilligan’s Island, The Andy Griffith Show, and The Flintstones but there so many more I enjoy. I also like the 30’s show The Three Stooges...they’re hilarious! Im so glad I have someone in my family who enjoys all of this same stuff and can tell me of their childhood in the 1950’s and 60’s. Even though im only 13, I enjoy being an old soul!

I grew up loving The Flintstones and I'm 55 and still love old cartoons, I wish Boomerang would bring back all five seasons of The Flintstones as well as Scooby Doo and Josie And The Pussycats. Wally Gator, Land Of The Dinosaurs, The Banana Splits, Top Cat all of the cartoons they originally played instead of the stuff they show now. Even in the middle of the night so people can DVR them to watch later.

@arcticblonde6.334
@arcticblonde6.334 6 лет назад
I’m sorry, I grew up with most of the shows and looking back at them they were just idiotic. The flying nun? Bewitched had Elizabeth Montgomery who was a great actress. Not t that Sally Field is not a great actress. 12 o’clock high, the untouchables, the Virginian, there was some great drama on television. But even that was constrained by the advertisers on the show and they couldn’t really do anything that might offend anyone. Right now is the golden age. Between streaming and network television there is a plethora of amazing programming that is incredibly well written, Directed and acted and actually has something to say. As far as comedy goes - I would agree that a lot of today’s comedy just goes for shock value and it gets boring pretty fast. However shows like modern family, the Simpsons etc. are funny and smart. Murphy Brown is coming back and tI’m happy to see that . Main stream shows like bewitched, I am dream of Jeannie, etc. were there to distract Americans from the Vietnam war. Which could not be touched on by network television. Laugh in was a game changer and hilarious. All in the family it was a game changer and both hilarious and uncomfortable LOL. But thanks For putting this together. I just would never call the 60s the greatest decade for television. Perhaps the greatest decade for music.
@sheriheffner2098
@sheriheffner2098 5 лет назад
Sally Field is my favorite actress. I have her book and she says she took acting classes in the Strasberg school. They were taught to be in character 24/7 for the entire time they were performing in a play,movie etc-. It's called method acting.
