As a kid our game library was limited to what our parents bought us, so seeing this video tells me I missed out on almost every great game, I also see where some of the more polished flash games I played as a teen draw their inspiration from. Those 4 years playing NES during summer break at my grandmas house feels like eternity ago. My first console was a famicom, after that broke I had 3 famiclone's because I'm guessing the circuits fried during the summer heat as I would play almost non-stop, coupled with the fact that it was copied hardware. All in all, pretty good childhood tbh.
Here are my favorite 13 NES hidden gems 13. Dragon Spirit 12. Legacy of the Wizard 11. Faria 10. A Boy and His Blob 9. Casino Kid 8. Krazy Kreatures 7. Clash at Demonhead 6. Cowboy Kid 5. Gargoyle Quest 2 4. Fire n Ice 3. North vs South 2. Ghost Lion 1. Dusty Diamond All Star Softball !!
I would like to add: Monsters in my pocket, Summer Carnival 92 Recca, Time Dive Avanger, Marcross, Zen - Intergalactic Ninja, Ike Ike Nekketsu and Nekketsu Soccer League. There are more, but that's all I can remember for now.
Do you know a certain japanese game where you play as a father who wants to rescue his daughter kidnapped by a demon? The father use guns in this game and whenever he defeats a demon, he can either get their powers or avoid them. It has two endings where he either killed her daughter after finding out she became a demon or accept her.
I was looking for that game for an entire decade, after my parents threw away all of my NES games. I was quite surprised when I found out it was called SCAT...
Best is 3d world runner, only forward scrolling game for nes ever.( 2nd best but also equally best in my heart MONSTER PARTY. there is not or will never be anything like it.) Edit: got to give it up to TROJAN. FuCK YeS.
There are so many good games that I feel like I will never have time to play them all. Alot of good games for NES, SNES, Genesis, SMS, N64, Saturn, Dreamcast, and so many other systems.

a lot these they didn't advertise enough this why no one knew much about them! you would have had to found these by luck or through a friend, remember no internet back then. TV and news or magazine where the only ways to know about them!
I guess ill never found the spaceship shooting games i used to play as a kid. The game are never talked about on the internet and im sad because i never beat the last level.
Conquest of the Crystal Palace, Conta force, Felix the cat, The immortal, Iron tank, Kickmaster, Mighty Final Fight, New Ghostbusters 2, Power Blade, Shadow of the Ninja, Panic Restaurant, SCAT - Special Cybernetic Attack Team, Shatterhand (Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain) and Tom & Jerry were not underrated at all, and the rest of these games I didn't know... =)
There was a game i used to play, it's about a bald guy who is a servant of god. He shoots ball rapidly to destroy monster, u can press select button to create a long ladder to climb up
Thank you for uploading this video, I was no joke looking for 20+ years for a game I remembered playing as a kid but I just couldn't remember the name of it, I just remembered it was pretty difficult and you controlled a ninja/samurai type character and there was a shopkeeper girl that would gent angry at you If you didn't have enough money to buy a product; I resorted to looking for NES top games lists but none of them gave me the one it was, I tried searching on Google using Key words I remembered from the game but to no avail, today I decided to try again on RU-vid and I saw this video had a 100+ games on display and I decided to give it a shot and sure enough there it was "conquest of the crystal Palace" I immediately recognized it, thank you for including it.
Operation Wolf was all rented out at my local 90's video store, so my dad got me Whomp'em instead........my spoiled self was initially sad but then Whomp'em became one of my faves!
most I've never even heard of, let alone played, but I def remember that world runner, the casino kid and trojan were greta games. my favorite underrated new game of all time is Nintendo GOLF. very addicting.
Guys can you help me identify this game that i lose the name of it? It is platformer and the stage 1 comes with white dominant background and your character has grey sprite (it looks like tiny toon character / earthworm jim it is cartoony ish character), i know it is kinda vague but any help would be appreciated (yeah i watch the video above and it is not there and i do believe it is nes game back when i was a kid)
what's wrong with audio mix tho i agree with Banana Prince tho, it is a weird release in Europe with no English translation, and the quiz part is annoying. But overall game is a truly hidden gem
There was a game with a girl in a village/kingdom and all I remember is if you did something she would end up being whipped...if anyone knows what I'm talking about please tell me the name of that game...heck I don't even remember if it was nes or PC

I really can't find those NES games that one that looks like Castlevania, but it isn't cause he has a weapon that isn't a whip. And that one fantasy adventure, that I can't remember, but was amazed by the exploration.
Yes! Finally after so many years of not remembering the name of the game a loved as a kid, finally found it on your video thank you so much! CONQUEST OF THE CRYSTA PALACE!!!!
Sorry, I'm searching for a snes game - It's a top down view action, adventure game, and everything takes place in a forest; it has western artstyle; as far as I can remember, your character can catch star (or fairy?) to upgrade or healing. If you know this, please tell me, Thank you in advance.
isn't the Bonk game only for the Sega Genesis or Game Gear back in the day? Could've sworn it was advertised alot for the Sega Game Gear and/or Genesis back then
You're close! In North America, Bonk was initially presented as the mascot for the fledgling TurboGrafx-16 platform, as a competitor to Mario and Sonic. However, as it became clear that the TG16 wasn't going anywhere, the developers took Bonk multi-platform.
I've been looking for a game for a while now. Thanks to this video I found it (S.C.A.T) as well as rediscovered games I've forgotten already but enjoyed in my youth. 🙏
