Reginald "Crash" Harrison of Saskatchewan, Canada, was an RCAF bomber pilot who survived 4 plane crashes during the Second World War. None of the crashes were his fault. In this video, with author Deana Driver beside him, Reg tells the Canadian Aviation Historical Society's annual convention about deciding to go back on duty after this third crash, then being diverted in bad weather to land the new Lancaster at a FIDO-equipped crash field, and then being shot at and having to land the Lancaster on one wheel!
Reg's fascinating life story, from growing up in the Dirty Thirties on a Prairie farm through his war years and his life of service afterward, is told in the award-winning book Crash Harrison: Tales of a Bomber Pilot Who Defied Death by Deana J. Driver. Signed copies are available from driverworks.ca/
