Hi Drippy Sista! I am finally seeing your kiln reveal. YOU brought a tear to my eye. I just love that you told the world our little story! OMG! That beautiful DRIPPY bowl! and...Love that Tangelo/ mixing clear/ Poppy fields combo. So FUN! Awesome sake set! 30 Big Bash Mugs?...you are amazing! Beautiful canister forms. OMG, Obsidian & Smokey Merlot! Wow! The pair are lovely! Very fun bee mug! Great kiln unload! Thanks, Nat!
Hey Nat, Love your bee mug...just a suggestion. I would add a small coil at the join and blend it in. I use coils where they join a lot for my handles and usually don't have any problems.
Yaaaay Hi Nat and Trace 👋 you look beautiful Nat❤ wowzers what a strong start with the first 2 bowls the 2nd is absolutely gorgeous❤ ooo the mulberry is delish I want to lock it it looks like a sorbet😅 wow the white canister with the blue decals you are doing them amazing!! I'm so impressed❤ the platter is gorgeous❤ the sake cups are stunning, I see why you recommended storm seaweed 😮 the big bash mugs! I love that shape 😍 wow the weeping plum and cherry blossom decals are so perfect together❤ obsidian seaweed ones are a stunner! Oh even bigger wow the smokey merlot 3 ❤ oh the bee mug is soooo sweet I love it. Fantastic kiln opening Nat, I think this one is my fave so far❤❤❤
You’re sooo sneaky Nat!!! HAHAHA. I LOVE IT!! I absolutely love your shirt Nat!! I adore how Julia dresses as well! Welcome back Trace! I pray for your health honey. I pray your new job is going amazingly well. That bowl is soo amazing! My gosh I can’t believe how much it ran!! I make a ton of leaf pieces and the trick is to put a coil on the bottom of the plate where the stem is. I know you used a plate, as do I, but they make them very much like a regular leaf so the stem is thick. Love that Bruce mug as well. How sweet of you to do. I wish I could get my oatmeal to be so yellow. I’m pretty sure I fire too hot for it but I love your color so much. I saw Audrey Morel had a glaze combo using obsidian and then deep red firebrick over it and it was gorgeous! I’m going to have to try your obsidian combos as well. Love them. The bee mug is sooo cool! What a great idea!! What a great kiln load!! For your handles do you put your mug upside down after attaching them? Is the clay maybe too dry when you attach them? Hobble creek pottery uses little snakes under her handles and I think that would really help your handles. Greatest of luck on those. The sound is perfect!!
It’s always so good being there in person for the unloads. I love it. I am doing so much better and settling nicely into my new job. Loving working for a female owned n run small business instead of a large corporation.
Oh thanks Michele I will try that w the leaf plate. Yes I dry them upside down. Keane’s 6 white clay is known to be painful w handles. Def going to try again I love that mug too xx
Hi Nan. I enjoy your kiln openings very much. Your interactions with Trace (spelling?) are wonderful. The saki set is lovely. Do you drink saki hot or cold? Looking forward to the short. Maybe see Trace? I want to try the storm seaweed combo. Is storm the first layer and seaweed on top of that? I was surprised it went all the way to the bottom. Seaweed is such a runner. Did you do less towards the bottom of the pot? Thanks for the inspiration.
Hey Carolyn! U can call me whatever u like lol. Yes 3 storm then 2 seaweed down to about 1/2 inch from the bottom. So pretty! I prefer sake cold yum! Thankyou for watching xx
Hi Carolyn, yes Trace is correct. If you haven’t checked out the Sake vid yet, yes I am in front of the camera. Nat actually gave me the confidence to do a vid on my own channel Tjsclaycreations. Thanks for your comments
