The amount of accurate scientific information meshed with Kaiju sci-fi is refreshingly satisfying! The Author/Narrator of this video did one hell of a great job with this! Well done! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's as accurate as it can be given the subject material. However, I did take issue with his loose association of pterosaurs with birds and lizards with dinosaurs.
In KOTM you can hear ghidora laugh as hes slithers his heads around at the stadium, it was great detail showing he is the embodiment of chaos/destruction and enjoys it
Really good video however I got half way and thought.. This really could use timestamps. This must have taken a long time to collate and put together in this format. I felt like I kept getting lost on how far through the journey we are maybe a counter in the corner would have assisted more. These are minor complaints I enjoyed the video over all though :) Richard is a great presenter and has a great voice that fits this style of information sharing.
mothra didnt technically sacrifice herself, she can be reborn from a egg that she lays before she dies, and thats what she did. Mothra remembers everything that happens before
mothra did die they just reproduce a new one but monsterverse always mess up the mothra origin everytime she dies a new one replaces her and no their never the same one
@@pacthao It's not messing up. Their Mothra just has a different function/story. In the Monsterverse, she can reincarnate herself through her offspring.
@@lilywong9672 I'm saying they messing with her origin made it worst if they had eggs later they can not say it's the same one mothra when it hatches and other one is alive then they in real trouble
The "smog monster" actually scared me when I seen it at about 11 years of age, damn slimy, egg filled, where's it's face thing & let's not forget the ability to glide over cars while stripping their human occupants to the bone, was scary y'all!!!!!
Mechagodzilla was Ghidorah reborn, makes sense why he laid hands on GZ the way he did. He was bringing receipts and GZ was too tired and injured to do anything about it. Good thing Kong was there to level the playing field
No dude.... he missed so much...... this guy only knows 50 % and half of that was cartoons.... it's like the queen gave us half the offical transformers then listed a bunch of Kmart goods then tried to tell us they were offical.
Excellent video. Anguirus (20:41) has to be my favorite. With all the monsters constantly challenging Godzilla for the crown, it's nice to see that he has a genuine bro among them, too.
The part where he wrecks the bridge was intentional in the Easter egg sense. Godzilla 1998* ended with “Zilla” on the Golden Gate Bridge getting tangled in the support wires, shot by f22 raptor rockets and killed on it. This scene (2014) was meant to be a middle finger to that part in the movie. Otherwise he’d have probably swam under like everything else. the American rendition that was a in reality not Godzilla. Glorious comeback. Edit: Godzilla even gets hit by rockets that do nothing.
I saw the title and was thinking "how are there 105 Titans in the Monsterverse?". The majority of these arent in the Monsterverse, but are Toho monsters. What is this video? Did you misuse the term monsterverse?
I see it clearly, Ingerus runs behind a hostile Kijui challenging Godzilla and quickly Godzilla pushes that kijui in his chest & backwards it goes, falling on its back aftet tripping over Ingerus who's right there behind and at it's knees level, super great with laughter!
Uuummm as far as I know the toho monsters such as destroya, biolante and space Godzilla are not part of the monster verse there part of the Toho universe not the monster verse like come on bro if your a true fan you would know this!
I understand the whole 'thats toho not mv' argument but at the same time its a video about kaiju. Showa, heisei, mv, reiwa. It doesnt matter because we all enjoy giant cool lookin monsters
There's so many masters of disguise in Skull Island, you can place a dozen of them while unconscious in the same place and they'd all think they're alone until one of them moves and causes a predatory chain reaction.
It would be a pretty funny scene in the new movie when Godzilla is in the ice area after he evolves he comes across the ice vark and just cuts it in half with his new breath 😂
I respect your viewpoint. I agree that you should be able to express your opinions without being deemed "Toxic", the people who feel you are being Toxic by having your own opinions (and mind) were given "Participation Trophies" all their lives.
He's not in the monsterverse yet but since the oxygen destroyer bomb was used in KOTM he might show up in the next monsterverse film after Godzilla x Kong
The Monsterverse is taking over, it used to be Marvel up untill Endgame and DC had its moment with Zack Snyder's Justice League because that was actually leading to something great with Darkseid but now it's Monsterverse
In a way, Godzilla must respect Kong in a weird way because he respects humans to a degree that he knows we are self aware, or very smart and we accomplish much although we're so small, anyways, Kong is the one Kaiju that closely resembles humanity & even uses tools, which is keep to humanities own super power, intelligence!
I'm confused as to why there are non-monsterverse monsters in this video about the monsters of the monsterverse. Don't get me wrong, I love the classic toho monsters, but I wasn't expected when Destoroyah popped up.
@@lonemaus562 I don't think that's how canon works. Monsterverse has to use very specific monsters for both legal reasons and the format of their stories. Id rather have a well described and detailed examination of all the titans and Kaiju shown in the monsterverse (which is a lot more than 10) then have click bait that said "all the monsters of the monsterverse." And then immediately shows non-monsterverse monsters and brief descriptions.
Major correction: Space Godzilla, Manda, Titanosaurus, Hedorah and Biollante are *not*--not in the films, the graphic novels or print novels so officially speaking, that quintet aren't Legendary MonsterVerse Titans. They're part of Toho's Showa and Heisei mythologies, full stop. Fan boy wishing for them to be Titans, ain't gonna make it so. If I were a newbie, I'd have been confused by this video. Simply making distinctions between the eras and producing studios would have cleared up the miscommunication issues in this vid.
@@user-tv9xs5sh7d You have every right to dream that, but dreaming and wanting it doesn't make it so. With the serious talk that's finally circulating out there on a third Pacific Rim film (tentatively titled "Cataclysm") with a MonsterVerse/Pacific Rim 'verse cross-over looming, if Pac Rim 3 is successful, I wouldn't count on any of the kaiju cited above to get licensed. It's all about Legendary's money and bottom line is, it's cheaper to create your own original creatures than it is to cough up fees to Toho. "Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters" is all the proof you need to test that idea and so far, it's really worked.
@@user-tv9xs5sh7dsays who? I've been looking and can't find anything stating anything of the war. Googled how is destroyah in the monsterverse and it says "he entered the second season of Godzilla and Kong war of the Titan series as his monsterverse appearance he did make a small Cameo at the end of season one" yeah I can't find anything on that "series"
Gorosaurus was the og version of the American 2000s Godzilla that ugly thing we don’t talk about and Jet Jaguar is basically Godzilla version of ultraman
Totally missed the powers, abilities and physicality parts of these monsters and only spoke about the most obvious parts of their history. No new or interesting information to be found here.
If anyone find this comment just know that someone cares about you even u think there’s no one in the world that cares about you there’s one person that cares
Scar King is not orangutan like. He is chimpanzee like. The colour brown is deceiving. Every physical aspect of scar king is chimpanzee. Some old chimpanzee go bald and brown.
Monster verse is kinda lame now. I don't want to watch 100 meter tall monsters move like characters in a fucking Jackie Chan movie. That's the one part from the 60's Godzilla movies that i didn't need to see again. Godzilla isn't some woke hippie protector of mankind. He is a threat to all, especially humans. Even if we put that lame “guardian of nature” trope on to him. Because, guess what, HUMANS ARE AWFUL FOR NATURE.
I wish they had made a sequel to Shin Godzilla. That was a fantastic movie with a different take on Gojiras origin. They left with him as a statue after being pumped full of a blood coagulant.
