October 23-24, 2021 - Super 32 Challenge Individual Wrestling Tournament at Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center in Greensboro, North Carolina Anthony Knox {R} of New Jersey defeated Nathan Desmond {G} of Pennsylvania by 6-1
As usual, Nima has captured -- brilliantly, clearly, and up close -- yet another battle royale between two incredibly strong state champions. ANTHONY KNOX, who is just a high school freshman in this video, went on to win this Super 32 with a 10-1 win over Bo Bassett and then won it again in 2023 with a win over, you guessed it, Nathan Desmond by 11-0 in the final. Anthony finished his sophomore season in 2023 with a 41-0 record and a New Jersey state championship. With that came offers from every major wrestling program in America, and Anthony wasted no time committing to Cornell. (I'll bet Kyle Dake gave him a call.) NATHAN DESMOND, who is also a freshman here (class of 2025), finished his sophomore season in 2023 with a 34-1 record and his second consecutive Pennsylvania state championship! He wants four. Needless to say, he is also sky high on college recruiting boards across the country. Anthony and Nathan do not exchange Christmas cards.
Holy rollers...what a match! No "love" lost between these two! The ref had his work cut out keepin' these two apart after "play"! Greensboro hit again for you Midest Wrestle!! Great coverage! TY!
Anthony was tired of everyone out there the ref , his coach and😅 he definitely didn't like Nathan. I get it Nate slapped him in the face a few times, knocked his head, did do a little extra after the whistle early in the match in addition he jammed his fingers in is rear end towards the end so I get it. But Nathan's coach definitely looks like he could still go a few rounds on the mat 💪. Great match nothing wrong when they get a little testy makes it exciting. Good job by the ref to keep it from escalating and this is def the best wrestling channel hands down.
