What makes this game different from other race games, is the way it's made, the music selection, the stages, the voice actors, the mechanics, a good syncro like this one is just something you don't find in other games
It's games like this that makes me wish Nintendo remembers how long it's been since 2001 and start adding some Gamecube to the Virtual Console. (I'm not actually complaining, but I really do wish there was a Gamecube Virtual Console)
@@bonk945 yeah I know. The original was revolutionary, it made great use of the rumble pack, which was still new at the time and people felt it was gimmicky. It would have been nice to get a sequel to the sequel ;)
Nothing against the two of y'all but did you not play this game? It displayed the names of the bands and songs in the loading screens, and the pause menu. I even remember watching a live performance of that song on the disc for this game.
I can't play this game again since I gave away my gamecube to my two cousins a few years ago. I hope they give this game some love :P So much fun and fond memories
What a gem; despite Nintendo Software Tech is Canadian based they have two modest franchises (Wave Race) which left an impact to loyal fans before the Wii (Revolution) era
syndiquaza I also found it by accident. It was years ago that i found it on a very rare sale of kbtoys. Virtually I bought this game and a bunch others for a basically a steal. This was the best game of the bunch.
@@Nintendude. Well i would really, really like another sequal but this game didn't got enough popularity i think, so i don't think nintendo is making a remaster. They didn't even do anything for the wii U
@@hydratoz4625 I think it's too similar to other franchises, and that also hurt sales. Nintendo likes being unique. Sometimes they ruin their own franchises for trying to be too unique.
Between nintendo burying this series among others, and this game releasing after SSX 3, this game faced two different avalanches. Shame, cuz I remember this was a lot of fun.
They don't do that many remasters, I think. Those they do are for games that they know will do very well. The games you mention I'm afraid didn't sell that well when they came out, unfortunately and for shame.
