Just go for it. Buy a lot of damaged cheap video cards and start practicing. This way you will know what tools you need. Not all tools are fine for everybody. That kind of needle shape, fine tip for soldering, I never use. I don't like it. I use something else entirely. I use what works for me. Remember you need experience in soldering. If you are not really experience in soldering, you won't be able to fix things for various reasons. Train yourself A LOT then you will know what temperatures you need for preheating and what temperatures you need for soldering / desoldering parts. You will be able to learn how to not damage a PCB worse than it already is. That's something people try to not start with. If you work a lot on PCBs you will learn how to manage working on different components and how to make them do what you need them to do for you. You will be able to use the way they behave to aid you instead of fighting with them to stay in place or to go wherever you need them to go. Remember! Shitty tools render shitty results. You don't need the "creme de la creme" but you most certainly need decent tools. Try to use an invite from the description of some of the clips like this one to join us in Discord. Be patient. Learning things by yourself is not easy. Look in the description below the clip, click on "more" then you know what to do. Buy Tony a candy when you can.

oh man, still got my evga gtx 1080ti as well.. i bought it used, smbdy mined some eth with it before. the card still works to this day. the only problem I always had with it was DP port connectivity with my Acer Predator XB27H1U monitor. for some reason it would either: a) not get DP signal, b) get with minimal or wrong refresh rate (24hz instead of 144hz... or max out at 60hz, random rly), c) give picture with 640x480 max resolution d) work fine, no issues. HDMI always worked flawlessly (max out a 60hz tho). anyway, now i'm thinking i want to tear it apart again and check some ICs, any idea where I should look? it could also have been an issue with my x58 motherboard.. pretty old stuff rly. anyway, really great vids keep it up!

That's Linux for ya, ie, a directionless snowball rolling down a mountain collecting more and more stuff - lol -. You can use it for simple stuff, even though it usually more work, but if it's complicated it's hard to get stuff fixed, eg, I found a fault 6 years ago and it's still not fixed - lol -. Basically very few people can program at a high level, so you have to wait for a skilled programmer with the same problem before someone will even look at it.

A bigger part of why Linux is hard to get into is that the community is absolutely toxic. If you have any sort of problem their first response is "RTFM! Thread locked!". Which for those who don't know, it stands for "read the fucking manual". But there's hundreds of manuals to pick from and you have to know which one to start with, and even then they're often completely useless, telling you to create configuration file, but literally no info on what it could or should contain. No reference for the options nor the format. And even then you'd often still need to be an expert in whatever field to make it work.

I didn't know windows could read linux unless you somehow installed linux on to ntfs or something. I use ext4 myself, and my theory is since Linux is journaled you don't have to check it. I am not a btfs kind of guy. Honestly I migrated to Linux probably to keep software from calling home about its origins. But today I mostly hang out in Linux, but is some ways Windows was better. The new gnome is ok looking. I manually fill out the network in Windows and don't include a router. In theory that isolates them from the internet, although one time some mvc program contacted microsoft using what it called 'a non standard gateway' in which the router was in x.x.x.1.

I don't think Linux UI is going to make it easy for them to find the "comment" button. It may be all the way at the bottom or it may not be here at all. Depending on the mood of a person who programmed that browser at any given time. Sunday night update: I think I should move this button here. Monday update: maybe we don't need this button so I removed it. Tuesday update: button it back, but it's changed it's function. Wednesday update: I decided to become a painter so I will no longer update the UI and the button problem will stay now. That's Linux right there.

Does the factory solder by a leg? So when you solder by hand it's better than factory? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-amUH6McjcSk.htmlsi=9nLC3Q_J7Lo8vzmr&t=703

But it's true. Come up with a standard UI behavior and develop everything around that standard. Ok on the left and cancel on the right. Or the other way around but please make it standard.

i mean one of the best things on linux is that there is no standard and if it happens that you desire standard, then there is a distribution even for you and people who are use to windows/mac UI, join the pingwin side x)@@northwestrepair
