Benny Golson's classic " I REMEMBER CLIFFORD " performed by trumpeter Chase Sanborn, accompanied by the University of Toronto "12TET", an ensemble featuring jazz students in the doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate streams of the University of Toronto Jazz program under the direction of Terry Promane, trombonist;associate professor; and co-ordinator of the Jazz Studies program at the University of Toronto.
Recorded at Walter Hall on November 19,2013.
MUSICIANS of the "12TET" ( 2013 -14 ) include:Noam Lemish / piano; Jason Stillman / tenor saxophone; Modibo Keita / trombone; Paul Tarussov / trombone; Hojin Jang / alto saxophone; Morgan Gardner / trumpet; Emily Dennison / trumpet; Mike McCormick / guitar; Bryan Gilmartin / Vibraphone / marimba; Alex Lakusta / bass. The U of T 12TET's first CD, launched at this concert, entitled "REBIRTH", is now available on ITunes. ( 1080HD ).

Excuse me, Mr. Sanborn. I've seen many of your instructional jazz videos, but that's the first time I've heard you play. I didn't know that you could get down like THAT! Well done, Sir. 🎺

I'm so glad that I stumbled upon you. I am a 40 year old jazz trumpet player that has taken about 10 years off from playing. I've recently gotten back into playing and your instructional videos have not only given me new insight into playing but have also speed up the recovery process as well. Thank you so much. Also, Clifford has been one of my highest regarded players since college and probably who I emulate the most as well.
