Meredith was correct. Cristina CHOSE not to have children and Meredith was just learning to balance and yes, Cristina had decent points last episode but her delivery was coming from a place of anger that not everybody is 100% medicine.
Regardless of Christina coming anger, which she didn’t. She made great points that Meredith did not want to accept. If Meredith can look at it objectively and not personally, Christina is right. There’s nothing wrong with being a mother and wanting to have a good career. But remember sometimes people, like Meredith, lose track and you need someone to tell you you lost it.
@@azngettoone yeah Christina is objectively right but the way she came across basically said “ you’re a mom. Your career stops here.” It fricken hurts to have that said to you. I’m all about harsh truths but Meredith is learning how to balance it all and Christina while right came across as unsupportive and uncaring of Meredith’s life.
These are choices. They say you can't have best of both world. People who choose to be Meredith sometimes lose themselves and their passion while trying to balance. They think if they hadn't chosen this they might have been thriving. While people like Christina often see people like Meredith and get jealous of their wholesome life and family. But it would be incorrect to say that children means downfall of your career and also that one is incomplete without children/partner. But yeah you can't have best of both world.

Faisal Salam actually the actor who played Derek wanted to leave the show. So Shonda killed him off... but I was thinking maybe in an upcoming season they could do an episode like if/then but like what if Derek hadn’t died and he had gotten the surgery and Meredith got to tell Derek she was pregnant again and he met his daughter.
Stéphanie Nguyen it happens with time , Too many things changed for Meredith not the same for Christian. Ofcourse we know things change but adjustment still takes time . A phase of adjustment due to change is natural 🙂 .
@@stephaniee it’s cause they’re more like sisters than friends at this point imo. They either get together super well and are there for each other or tear each other down really coldly
It's because they change clothes whenever they are in their work. And Wear the same clothes they wore, when they came to work, back to their homes. It's a common practice of every doctors or nurses.b
what i dont understand is that basically everyone in the hospital used that red mug, it got lost, filled with coffee, lost again, broken, washed, then brought back looking perfect like it hadnt been glued back together. a bit confusing if u ask me lol
I absolutely don't agree with Christina's delivery because she decided not to have children and while she is an absolute machine in the OR there have also been things that have affected her greatly and Meredith has always been there for her. I can understand if Meredith had a baby six months, a year ago but she literally just had a baby and was just trying to find a good work/home balance which many new parents have to do. I do think in that particular episode Meredith did have a lot going on and so it probably was best for Bailey to scrub in but Christina could have delivered it in a much different way. LOL we are all talking about this like it is real life but you know what Grey's is real life to me haha
@@Rjs81187 imo Cristina was potentially right to cut her off of the surgery but what she said later was completely not okay imo. She acted that just bc mer had kids her career pretty much ended there and she would never be able to be as good
All of you say Meredith has a point, I’d say maybe, but Cristina made it clear that she didn’t think of her any less, but when you become a parent the job doesn’t come first and she wasn’t focused, balance can happen but when the job is just as important as the family, the balance breaks, Cristina knew that, and tried to make Mer understand in a way that won’t hurt her, yet Meredith took it really personal, I get why she’s mad, but she never thought that Cristina could be right
No Mer was right she needed a support from her friend yet she threw her under the bus, even here she is saying have been supporting you never judged you, but now it's time for her to support only for her to say that you have kids you can't be as good surgeon as I am, she could have find a way to tell her, all Mer needed was support like the one she has been giving her without judging her, in case you realise all the episode Cristina needed Mer more than Mer needed her.
The reason why they have the same outifts is because they change clothes whenever they are in their work. And Wear the same clothes they wore, when they came to work, back to their homes. It's a common practice of every doctors or nurses. It's practicality, besides the clothes they wore when they came to work is still clean. Some doesn't practice this, especially when they have events or errands after their shifts. But overall, they always do this.
Cristina was still right here. She tried to show an interest in Mer the whole episode and she got defensive about it. She’s just desperate to prove she’s as good as Cristina. And no, Cristina didn’t push her out of surgery because she had a baby, she did it because Meredith was distracted and late and she didn’t research the case. Merediths just upset because she knows Cristina was right in the last episode.
I case you dint notice there friendship is all about Cristina, what Mer wanted was just a support you can even hear her saying it, But instead cristina just finf a way of judging her,
@@maia9056 No she never made it personal, friendship is about caring for one another and pushing one another but calling Mer incompetent was way out of line.
@@maureenavilia208 Mer was not ready for that surgery. Not because she had a baby. But because she hadn’t read the article. Bailey did. It’s just like season 5 when cristina chose Alex to do the solo surgery because Alex was the ONLY one who actually knew the procedure from opening to close and Mer got mad at cristina then too. I love Mer but even she admitted that she was angry and jealous of cristina. She admitted all of it at aprils wedding.
See you can have both🤷♀️withaut husband, best friend. That's just destrecations when you balance between Husband, Friend, Children, Carrer it's easy boyfriend sex and concetreate on a job but at the and of the day or life you are all alone. Seems crappy I loved Christina but she got to ambiusus that's OK but still you can have friend's withaut insulting them they know they don't work same as you but that's their choice to have a children and very successful carrer like Meredith. Sorry Mer had right in here she just said to her I need you I always was there for you even when Cristina didn't "want" she was there. That's the point.
Say that again and what I got mad at her is that she called Mer incompetence three her dead mother in the face I can say Mer is a great Dr S4 she did research and it turn out successfully, while Cristina was chasing surgery, Mer has been supporting Yang endlessly I remember she asked Ellis before she died if one can have both and yang said you tried it didn't work and Ellis told her I never tried harder but you do, she became cut through ended up Making Mer loose her research .
