He stacked the ability twice while it was a land because he wouldn't have been able to activate it again once Inkmoth turned into a creature because of the cursed totem. He can't attack first then buff with hammer because it will lose flying via hammer. He did the double activation to give it flying before declare attackers so it won't be chumped.

@@Josh-sr6bv He would activate inkmoth and attack with it while it had flying. Because of flying, it couldn't have been blocked so no blockers would be assigned to it. So before dealing damage phase, he would play and equip the hammer to nexus a deal lethal damage.

Seems like he overthinked the situation, he could just have waited for no blockers like u said.

he cant activate the inkmoth ability once it's a creature because of his own cursed totem in play@@feetlover1862
