Yes, Ryan, Andy, Brandon, Vince and everyone on their team. Carly was part of the team but is now doing her own thing, but big respect to her as well. Also, all the new members of the team. P.S. Wanna give a shout out to Max Velocity, Reed Timmer, Swegle Studios, Weatherbox, Pecos Hank, Tornado Forensics, Alferia, and all the other people in the weather community who help educate us on severe weather (especially 🌪's) and do a great job! If you haven't watched a live stream by Max Velocity I highly recommend. He is in going to school for meteorology and tries his best to go live during severe weather in the US. Before he went to school, he was always live during any severe weather situation.
Sincere condolences extended to the families of the folks lost in Texas; and heartful encouragement to all those who are picking up the pieces this afternoon.
In tornado country of Northern Indiana when grandpa built his house it was on the side of a hill. The basement was a complete house with kitchen, bathroom, root cellar the rest living and storage space. You could walk out at ground level into the backyard. This was with older appliances and a wood stove. We visited when grandpa was in his 80s and they had a small tornado hit one of his fruit trees. It just twisted it and laid it on it's side. Prayers for every.
Exactly money can replace all those unnecessary man-made material items,, which is all the trash and debris you see,, people have too much damn junk maybe Mother nature sweeping up
And just when you survived a devastating storm you get to begin the back and forth fight with your insurance company that will send you an initial check for 4500 to cover everything!
Oh !!!! My goodness .... I feel so sorry for everyone .... I hope there where no lives lost and animals and it was such a beautiful place to live ... i'm going to quit turning on my cell .phone The news is too devasting . Everytime i turn it on there are tornadoes... earthquakes and many other terrible things to take in horrible. This canadian is thinking about all of You's. This message is comming Manitoba Canada
I think I'm going to quit watching the news because I feel sorry for everybody and i'm a very emotiona😪l when I see what's going on in the world. I'm not as fit as a fiddle either .loaded with arthritis and my mode of transportation is a wheel chair but I still have a roof over my head so I'm very lucky and I'm 74years old . Thinking about everybody with tears 😢 💔. And this Canadian is hoping for best to each and everyone one and your precious animals . ❤ This heartfelt message is comming from Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
3:01 looked like a foundation without a house - driveway and door path leading to a concrete slab. No matter how often I've seen aftermath videos I'm blown away. They come out of the sky and vacuum the ground without mercy. People's entire life possessions are lifted up, torn to pieces, and spread out over miles. And cruelest of all is how bright, calm, and sunny things are the next day. It's as if the sky is saying, "It wasn't me. I didn't do anything."
Homes that are not anchored properly are easily blown askew even in a strong EF2. Judging by the sacks on the pallets was likely a utility shed/barn, not a home. House across from it sustained damage but it wasn't anywhere near collapsed or destroyed
Ryan Hall last night: phenomenal weather coverage. The look on his face and the tone in his voice when he said that residents of this area were in "imminent life threatening danger" -- and he was correct. Blessings on all those affected -- such a sad and terrifying event.
Wow, my prayers are going out to everyone AFFECTED by yesterdays storms. It looks overwhelming, but this will be cleaned up and you will be able to rebuild your lives.
I hate seeing what these things do . There’s always an eerie quiet even though there’s chainsaws going . Prayers for everyone touched by these things. Hats off to guys & gals that give us extra heads up 🙏🏼🌪✌🏼
i watched ryan halls coverage of this event from start to finish. Going into this event i had a bad feeling about the outcome, there were some moderate risks this year that ended up not being too bad, but my gut was telling me that this one was gonna be awful, and it looks like that gut feeling was right. The thought that i was watching these storms go from small cells to strong and deadly supercells with deadly tornadoes in real time saddens me. at the exact same moments in time, i was eating dinner with my family while watching the idabel storm go from radar indicated tornado warning to a tornado emergency. I witnessed the same happen for the new boston tornado. i saw each and every storm that happened start to finish. I saw the debris balls on the correlation coefficient and i saw those nasty velocity couplets. It's so sad to know that while i was completely safe here in North Carolina, people were losing everything they had, being injured, and being killed by these tornadoes. I know what it is like to have to deal with tornadoes like this, we get tornadoes quit a bit here in north carolina, but most of my experiences with tornadoes happened when i lived in tennessee. thankfully, i managed to get very lucky when it came to tornado outbreaks that affected the area that i lived in , such as the 2008 super tuesday outbreak, 2009 good friday outbreak, and the 2011 super outbreak. Fortunately, the tornadoes on the 2011 super outbreak ended up happening further east than forecast, so i was safe. on the 2009 good friday outbreak i got really lucky, my city went under tornado warning for a strong supercell that was passing right above us, thankfully it didn't drop a tornado until it was right outside of the city limits, its like the storm had a mind and showed us mercy. But unfortunately the tornado that it dropped right as it left my city ended up being the murfreesboro ef4. Thankfully, my city had only been hit by small, unconfirmed ef0 tornadoes that only caused tree damage and minor structural damage, (unconfirmed because they happened at night time and lasted only a few seconds). in a video i saw of the Clarksville tornado, it looks like it was at ef5 strength with how fast it was rotating along with the fact that it was a large wedge, i can only hope that no property was damaged at ef5 intensity. I was praying for the people who would be affected by this event before it happened and while it was happening, and i will continue to pray. i know how resilient people can be when they lose nearly everything in tornado outbreaks like this, and i know that it will be no different in this case. I know that the people affected are strong and will come back from this devastation.
@@bw-leftturnracing7779 yea I know I’m just saying in a video I saw the tornado looked incredible intense and comparable to what other ef5s had looked like. Not saying i think it was an ef5
The one person that did, died from an unrelated explosion in their house, miles away from any possible tornado. There were no direct fatalies tied to this tornado. He was 90.
I saw Reeds coverage while it was happening. Hopefully everyone took cover. Remarkable damage. Living in Florida I'm afraid of hurricane s, but stuff, just comes straight out of the sky and messes you up over there. Scary.
Seeing all those groves of trees all lying flat pulled right out of the ground tells you about the sheer power of that beast ! Hoping everybody was safe, but this was a huge area of destruction.
So heartbreaking. I pray no one was hurt or lost their lives. Praying for the folks in Texas. Condolences to those who lost loved ones and friends. Thank you for the great coverage and updates to hopefully keep people safe.
I live in the neighboring town SE of Idabel, and we NEVER get serious tornadoes, and if we do get one, it's an EF-0 to EF-1. This was the first destructive and substantial tornado I've ever seen in my so far 23 years. Even my mom who's twice as old as I am hasn't seen one like that either. I didn't even take the warning seriously until every source confirmed a large and violent tornado was coming into McCurtain County and towards Idabel/Haworth direction. I would never have guessed a wide EF-3 would rip through Idabel and leave a fatality in my lifetime, despite living in tornado alley.
why would u NOT build with cement ..cement block .poured cement . Romans used cement .still here 2000 plus years . wood ..not! p.s. prayers to those affected .
This morning when I was looking through the SPC storm reports for yesterday, and seeing stuff like 'significant damage', I knew it couldn't be good. Nice drone video, Live Storms Media. Dang really shows the power of this one. :(
@@gabe4368 EF4 damage involves houses almost or completely wiped clean from their foundations. This is not that severity of damage. Houses here are partially torn apart not wiped clean. It's EF3 damage. Not saying the Tornado wasn't EF4 at some point, but from the damage shown in this video, it's clearly not EF4.
Thank you. This video shows the randomness of a tornadoes path. One home saved, another close by destroyed. Amazing footage. Prayers to all, whom lost their home's💓
John Doe, the audacity of you to comment on how sad it is to see all those trees down, when families lost everything they owned. And one person was killed and many injured, That's what's really sad, downed trees is the least of there sadness you thoughtless ass wipe.
Really - All those trees in that town - will become Paper - in the Mill down the road. They will NOT go to waste there. They just made extra MONEY - that is LUMBER & PAPER country
Help! When it flies over the woods there is a red jacket and person lying on the ground.. it looks like they aren't moving.. I don't know who to call or do.. help, its just at the beginning of the video. Front and center.
Wow,my heart feels for these people who suffered a loss.God Bless and pull all hearts towards HIM. He is the WAY and the TRUTH.All things are revealed in everyone’s heart in the appropriate time.
I can’t imagine the hopelessness of dealing with this awful mess. Especially for women, it’s in our DNA to straighten and fix messes and there’s no fixing this.
Stop whining about it and saying women have to fix this mess. Men are gonna be the ones cleaning everything up and rebuilding. Not women. The people who built these houses were men. They’ll have to tear them down and rebuild them too. Stop even bringing women junk into this.
So heartbreaking... I too was watching live with Reed. 🙏 For all. Ef scale should be l ike a 1 thru 10 scale... from north central arkansas here. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 To for all communties that was hit lastnight.
I saw the devastation of the F5 in LaPlata Maryland... These images bring back the memories of that day! I can only imagine at night in the dark would be horrifying... In the blink of an eye! It can be all gone! 🙏🏻💜🙏🏻
At 1:23. Didn't even rip the tin roof from that house yet "managed" to completely destroy the house to the left of it AND the house to the right of it.
6+ minutes of reasons why I live in North central Minnesota. I'll take my winter wonderland & 30 days of -20°F temps over this kind of devastation. 🙏 for everyone getting severe weather.
Here on the Texas Hill Country our old house finished in '75 didn't even have the bottom run of 5V crimp metal roofing screwed down until I bought it in '15, talking about no major storms hitting all those years. Its about a 40' run of no fasteners until the 2nd row of screws 6 feet up
This didn’t have any voice over did it? I don’t have an audio playing on my end. I don’t have the news coverage for it either. Does anyone know what category this was, how long it was basically on the ground, it looks like it might have hop/skipped in a few places, but looks like it hit quite a bit of land and homes, and whether or not there were casualties? My heart, love, prayers and Mama Bear Hugs go out to all who have been affected by this and everything going on in the world. May the LORD bless and keep everyone!!! ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I wanted to say thank you for your coverage of after the storm. We were just missed by a block or two. Your footage is excellent. Thank God you didn’t have to witness Fatalities. I live right here and would never see some of the damage you Documented without you coming here to do so.
Thank you for the drone footage of Idabel. I feel for the residents who have lost every thing especially since winter is nearly here. The tree damage is shocking too. I thought the tree damage from the 2008 Ice storm was bad, but this is far worse with all the torn out by the roots trees. As Ryan Hall said, "There are radar black out zones". One of which is SE Oklahoma. I wrote to my Oklahoma DC Congressman about it even though he is in Tulsa. Mark Wayne Mullin is a DC Rep of District 1, which covers eastern Oklahoma. I found out that one has to live in District 1 to be able to e-mail a district Rep. Idabel and other towns NEED a weather radar station asap. I'm going to e-mail Gov Kevin Stitt about this too. Surely with the multiple millions of dollars Oklahoma is getting from the Federal Programs and now the Infrastructure Biden Bill, Oklahoma can install a weather radar station to warn and protect citizens. Let's put the pressure on those that can make this a priority...our elected officials. This includes reps in TX and AR too.
My god. This is so sad. I really feel for the people there. I live in Oklahoma City and I did not hear about this. The channel I was watching kept showing the Oklahoma map then it showed the little tornado emblems way down Southeast Oklahoma. The weather did not come on and say there were any tornado damage anywhere. I'm in the Central part of Oklahoma. DO know what these things do and have done. God bless and take care of all who were involved.
My guess is this tornado is an EF-3 but I can’t be 100% sure because it depends on the structure of the buildings, how well they were anchored down how well they were built
hello I'm live 5 miles south of Haworth Oklahoma and it's near Idabel. There is no lights but thankfully there is service. May God be with the folks in Idabel
Looks like some really strong inbounds that laid all those pine flat in one direction, then you see the thin damage path - a kind of "finger of GOD" sort of thing.
No it is more like an E1 or possibly and E2 as the width is very small. An E4 is at least a half mile wide. However a tornado is a huge force of wind twisting and does damage whatever level it is.
@@tamaragonzalez2227 Not sure why you felt it necessary to share information from a different angle than what I commented about, but, umm....thank you.
I was pretty alert all night long and luckily it fizzled out one county away from mine but we were ready to go down to the shelter I can't imagine what it must be like it looks like a horrible scene but as long as nobody's Dead who cares about all the worldly things as long as everybody still has their family intact is all matters
This is so normal in United States, I’ve done research’s on tornadoes and I’ve read some ferocious ones that caused havocs back way in 1700’s and 1800’s. Thankfully no fatalities, materials made humans get older and then recycled it can be replaced by new productions but death is impossible.
This is so devastating for people. Do you realize there are shortages in everything to rebuild your house? In Ca. We had all of the fires go through here, and we couldn’t find everything we needed because everything was made in China. Finally the ports released the goods from the ships, and we got everything. But yeah, it is not good.
Astounding damage, my family was spared the destruction personally but so many we know need help cleaning up and rebuilding. These random events can bring a community together.
They were very lucky that the path was so narrow & the damage was erratic. Such a sight to see two structures so close to one another where one is destroyed and the other barely touched. If you got hit, it was not good, but thankfully, many people looked to be very lucky that they had little to no damage even though they were near the path.
Yes, this is almost always attributed to a multiple vorticex tornado. In a few of the videos, you can actually see horizontal vortices coming out of the backside of the tornadic storm. The houses that get leveled usually are hit by a single vortex. The May 3rd 1999 Moore tornado has some good video and photos of this. The Jarrell TX tornado has a photo that is called "dead man walking" because the multiple vortices seem to form a man holding a scythe.
I can’t even imagine all the farm animals, horses and feral animals out there coping, looking for their babies that were in the trees for hibernation. Nature is so cruel.
You can't stop laws of mature just go with it.learn from this weather event.hid the warring have a safe shelter keep your eyes to the sky.mother nature has no boss
My family lives in Idabel, I am thankful they all made it through but a few of them lost their homes, my niece owns Gemini cafe this is just heartbreaking
Now I'm no Storm Surveyor, but I will say this: This will either be a EF4 or EF5 due to this damage, it deserves it, I'm not trying to pre-rate but the damage kind of reminds me of Mayfield and we know how that ended up, and in the trees, is that debarking I see? Yes, yes it is, this damage gives me Andover and Mayfield vibes, and HOLY SHEET I JUST SAW A HOUSE WITH BOLT ANCHORS (I think) WITH THE SLAB SWEPT CLEAN, I think I also saw some minor to moderate ground scouring. The damage seen really fits the EF5 rating, don't you think?
