hi, the way you are using tools really appreciable. no shortcuts in tutorial videos are the best thing in your videos, which helps all understanding the use of constraints and geometrical sets etc... awesome keep it up and please continue with your videos...
I have been running around all plastic parts videos and they all use a draft angle for injection molding, which is not applied here in this video (I think for a simplicity reason), you tutorial is more comprehensive for beginners which is highly appreciated, Thank you Walden for this great video.
It's a very useful video would you explain technical background of this component where exactly using this component like manufacturing method material etc..
There is something I would like to ask you, I think I know the answer, but why do you always use relations in a sketch with the absolute axis (not yellow projected ones, you always hide them)?. Something related to a possible future use of the sketch in another positioned place, to avoid errors? what are the advantages?
I noticed you always hide the e origin planes and the point and H and V direction into the sketch. Is there a reason to hide for that? Are thre advantages to work like that or it is just your preference? I am just curious
This is kind of standard in the industry, please watch my basics video regarding this topic: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u8Uwph_NsEU.html
I'm trying to do a mold design and I have a problem(i dont if it's me doing it wrong or the software is not responding) consider that I imported model in core n cavity and clicked on pull direction...so everything is fine till here..what's happening is in model tree the sub branches like core and cavity slider etc are not forming...why is that not generating? help me
I improved my nx skills with your videos and now learning catia but there is a point i couldmt get which is i swich to generetive shape design and try to extract but that extract comes under the first part body and that geaometrical set doesnt appear in my product tree. I tried to insert geometrical set and another body but the extract comes under the second body instead of geometrical set. Can you help me
Sir is this possible to design a part in a single body and then we can save them separately i design a car but sir that's not an assembly and not calculated so sir is that possible that i can devide it in to parts and then i can apply kinematics to it
@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training thanks sir next time i will apply body sets so i can apply assembly and mechanism sir can you make a saperate video in which we can study analysia on parts using catia v5
[Nephew of Ida] starting 24:09 "...how it works..." Sorry but I understood nothing how this works with symmetry. In this moment you are too fast for following you. But generally the video is great. The highlight for me was the delete of the pattern via point click. And there is no draft for the extruder machine, when you produce a plastic part.
This is just an exercise and there is a more "advanced" version in my channel. Regarding symmetry I do this in almost all my videos, so please check there.
please help me: ''The current In Work object is not in a Body. The new solid feature is created after the last feature of the Body.'' tks you Sir ! I am not good English, Sr.
If you a "geometrical" set is active / "object in work" and you create a volume i.e. by extrusion, then this feature is created in a body after the last feature.
i follow your catia guidance from my college days.you provide a base for me in catia ,thank you. i need some knowlegede of master sections in A SURFACE . could you please help on that
You know automotive domain they use master section, from that they do the rest of the thing from A surface. Like adding Engg features or mating features.
First it is only an exercise, second I´ve done already another more advance version with draft angle ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zI5rCb7K2ac.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qJKpBHkL_ms.html
OMG ! I just want to punch my colleagues in the face when I see that kind of part history in CATIA. Please don't teach other cad users to work like this. Regards.
LOL - I you haven´t noticed - it is just an exercise which shows the functionalities of certain tools, nothing more nothing less. I most certainly know how to structure a model properly, probably better than you :).
Wolfgang, Thery is right. In addition to that, this is a simple plastic part and there is no need to use GSD. In my opinion, it is a very big mistake not using positioned sketch and hiding the elements and creating constraints with axis.. I can understand that you can do better design but if you want to train someone, you should follow different design method.
