This is the perfect example of there being no real changes.

This patch literally changed nothing. Quinns abusers are still gonna run the game, mage items are still dogshit, healers are still neutered, and life steal is still worthless. Don't know who thought Horus, Poseidon, or Apollo needed buffs, but they haven't been playing the same Smite I have. Kali's changes won't change a damn thing. The QoL changes for ability targeting inside walls was something that should've happened a decade ago. Hell, they still haven't even fixed the fucking invisible item bug that's been in the game for months now. They _do not_ give a shit anymore.

Yeah this was shown in the patch show: Cerberus does the ult stomp to grab and lift the enemies, and then Cerb can leap further away taking enemies with him, or maybe attack them with the leap damage while they're still hanging in the air. The enemies won't follow him over walls. I'll say, this has SIGNIFICANT effects in Corrupted Arena, can't wait to see how that looks like... I want more pit game

@@illunatic317 You don't have to, but it's an option now other than being forced to back before buying an entire item. If you're backing for a T2 chances are you're going to miss a wave. Even for solo, your TP wouldn't be back up by the time you can afford your T3. Gods like Jing will probably benefit most from this change, giving her passive something to actually feel good about.

I mean flat pen takes away a set amount of protections from the specific protection type, precent takes away a percentage of the enemies specific protection based on how much they have. A video explanation is probably clearer though

@@tomorchard6660 So whats the cap on pen? Is it better to just stack % or flat and if you have both do they work together? I just havent been able to find a good explanation.

@@Bassetowner123 it’s better to have flat pen for squishies as they have lower protections on average, the cap for flat pen is around 40 I believe and for example, a hou yi has 52 physical protections, it’s much much better to have 40 flat pen as this reduces his protections to 12 (52 prots- 40 pen). Percent pen of 40% would only reduce his prots by 40% of 52 which is only like 20, so your damage would be calculated with 20 protections taken off with percent pen, and 40 taken off with flat pen. The reason it’s good to have both is to compromise for higher damage to tanks as if they have capped prots at like 325, the flat pen will barely reduce their prots (325-40 = 285) whereas 40% pen would reduce their prots by ( 40% of 325 = 130, 325 - 130 = 195, so the percent pen would reduce a tanks prots by 90 more than capped flat pen of 40). They literally turned a bunch of tier 2 items mini tier 3 items and you think it's the weakest patch? Go play LoL until Smite 2 drops. No need to drag yourself across the coals.

@@Zathren I love smite and hate LoL the reason I am mad is because I am passionate about smite. Also I said the weakest mid season patch, and I believe that. Not one new item, no real map changes, no huge god changes. Then a ton of tier 2 passives that go away once you fully buy it and there may be 1-2 impactful enough to change your build.

@@Zathren who has ever asked for tier 2 items to be buffed or changed? The answer is no one because it's fucking pointless since you will have each of these items for maybe a few minutes. The best part of Smite is when you're full build, and these changes have 0 impact on that
