Update: Crookst is still grinding runs with his sub 13 counter having increased to 24- still about 11% of the total sub 13s. A few days ago there's a chance he tied his 10:56.7 PB to the frame, which is absolutely ridiculous.

I remember being there for both the 11:15 and the 10:56. Both absolutely insane runs because he tripled his sub 12 times in one day. He's more cracked than a fallen teapot

First time I joined a crookste stream, I was so flabbergasted over his skill level it absolutely blew my mind

A perfect travel, map-less, and zero cycle wr would've been so cool, the only thing better would be if they used miracle route

I don't wanna sound like I would do it better, but in a k4yfour style analysis Crookst should attempt a crystal backup after he was out of explosives. Probably wouldn't save the run since dragon just started healing and the crystal was caged, but at least worth trying.

I don't think it was a choke. If he hadn't gone for the zero cycle then he would have completed the run but probably wouldn't have got WR so he had to go for it. The reason he lost it was because the first bed was late, but I think it was basically as fast as he could have reasonably done it, there wasn't any major time-loss "choke" in setting up the platform and first bed (not that my amateur eyes could see anyway!).

it's amazing how the meta of minecraft speedrunning is to stop playing minecraft and just do some math (but more importantly doing that calculation quickly, accurately, while under stress, it's impressive)

great video, loved it! I would recommend using a s/t/p filter or compression on your voice to get rid of some of those frequencies that made the audio a little painful once every couple minutes! other wise great video!

Imo going for the glorious 0cycle and failing it due to terrain generation is not a choke. It's just bad luck and i think hes getting it soon
