Sally cat 2 scared me. Our yard and fence torn up. Needed new roof. We were safe. I will not be sticking around for a 3 or 4. 2 cats, a dog and husband would head out to somewhere.
I didn't evacuate here along the coast of Louisiana.. I live in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. Our pets are one of the reasons we didn't evacuate. Worst hurricane I've ever been through. Category 4 my ass. We're still rebuilding down here. This is home

Amazing. 150-185 mph winds with 20 inches of rain. Probably feels like being caught in the stream of a firehose. Should move a lot of debris for miles.
@coingecko Have you not seen the live footage from there? Grand Isle is under SEVERAL feet of surge and winds are blowing well over 100 MPH there right now.
We barely dodged this bullet. I can handle some tropical wind gusts 💨 but I couldn’t imagine being hit with 165+ mph winds. Hurley would be wiped off the map no doubt

Okay I will clarify. My comment was because my town is Lafayette, which would be thought as out of the danger area, I have found that bursts of hell can be found in those arms rotating around. Another point, last time I looked, it was category 4, about to hit land, 150 mph winds I believe, so, .... It's not, THAT the wind is blowing,.... It's WHAT the wind is blowing, thanks Ron white
