He was diagnosed with some sort of dementia or Parkinson's disease of some type when he was sober which are diseases that kill you slowly, it's believed that after being sober for so long this news hit him hard and depressed him enough to end his life cause he couldn't bear what was coming :'(

His suicide was the terrible pain his life came to from a viscous disease. It's not like it was induced from drugs or some wild life. He found the only way he can obtain peace was through ending his life, because he knew he only had a few years left and those few years would be the most terrible and painful years of his life.

I think what they are attempting to show are celebrities conquering addictions, hence why alcohol and cocaine, or just drugs are mentioned for pretty much every single one of them. Depression is an entire other monster, not related to the over consumption of potentially destructive substances. Depression is more of a mental disorder, and yes, to a certain degree, addictions or addictive behaviours can also be considered mental disorders. Depression is sometimes a life long battle, and isn't something you could attempt to resolve by going cold turkey. turning your life around after depression isn't really a thing, as without any real change in your day to day routine, it can creep back into your life.... Even if something like depression ended up taking his life, it shouldn't diminish what he accomplished and what has been highlighted in this video. I'm glad your suffering has come to end, but I'm sad at how much darker the world is without you in it. Rest in Peace Mr. Williams.
Where is Eminem? He attempted suicide multiple times, was addicted to drugs, was close to death from an overdose, and now he is successful again still rapping at age 44, sober.
He stopped using drugs after John Belushi died. Depression (which took his life) isn't something you can just stop having. It's not about his passing, but his sober life
Stephen Mountenay-Henhawke anyone can do anything. you absolutely Can beat Depression and many people have, he just gave up. anyone who's life ends with suicide was a sign of failure. it's not impossible to beat depression or anything for that matter, there's evidence with people who have done it many times before. but people who give up and take the easy way out. did just that, they Gave Up, they didn't believe their life was worth keeping, so they through it away. and it's a shame because all life is precious and should not to be thrown away just because of feelings. suicide is always premeditated. Robin Cut his wrist than when it wasn't working, he actually summoned the strength to drag his self to a door and hang his self with a belt of all things, he was totally in his right mind, he knew exactly what he was doing, and he could've stopped at anytime. but simply said he didn't believe he was worth it, and that's a damn shame, because the Man was loved by millions and millions of people, he just couldn't love himself.
I wish that were the case too. But in a way, almost anything can be bad for you. Addiction can even come from sugar, caffeine, sexual desires.. and even the internet. Which we can't deny that they've contributed so much in our lives. The only problem is that, people misuse them. Like drugs, it should only and only be used for medical purposes. Not for fun... not for being cool... and definitely not for trying out.. If I were to add, alcoholic drinks(not alcohol itself) shouldn't be the ones to exist as it has no use for anything.. But I can't complain~

Being addicted to heroin is a miserable life and trying to quit is near impossible. Trust me, I was once addicted, you will sell your soul for that drug.
Don't think so my father is doing most drugs these days and has been doing hard drug's since the early 90's, but I haven't and don't want to, I think in his case his father probably gave him alcohol at a young age or he has/had underlying physiological issue's such as abuse but has dealt with that during rehab.

he also was diagnosed with Lewy Bodies Dementia, which causes depression, paranoia, Parkinson's disease, confusion and dementia. His life would have deteriorated into a living hell, which is a big part of why he killed himself. It's tragic. But he did turn his life around.
