ahh! I have a weird thing with open doors too! I'm not scared of them, but it bothers me to extremes. if my dog pushes my door open at night and I wake up, I panic. or if someone enters a room and leaves the door open, I often try to ignore it and continue whatever I'm doing but it bothers me to a point where I can't take it anymore and have to close it. Have you tried facing it? or just learned to live with it? I also have a phobia (don't want to say what it is) I used to not be able to see it, hear anyone talk about it, hear the things name or be around it without having a panick attack and crying. As I grew older I tried to work on it and slowly was able to hear it's name without freaking out, hear people talk about it, and now I can see it for a second or two without freaking out, I still keep my distance however I don't panick like before. I have even seen pictures of it without freaking out. Now there is one thing left to overcome regarding it however I still haven't been able to, I still freak out when it comes to it. Hope eventually you can see pictures of the ocean/sea without feeling that way, then maybe you can someday see it from afar, even if you can't go near it, hope you can eventually see it from afar.

Jodie Kershaw I have aquaphobia. It is horrible. It started when I was about 2 years old. I was at a hotel pool and everyone around me wasn't paying attention (My family and family friends, that's it, but it's 10 people) and I was just swimming and I must've had floaties, but I must have taken them off and I started drowning and it took like 10 seconds of splashing and screaming for someone to notice. I am to this day horrified of water, even the stuff in my cups.
