When farming those teleporting fellas for the headband. On your first run, drop a rainbow stone where they each appear the first time. Makes it so fast and easy to farm
Ayoo, idk who needs to hear this but your item discovery/drop rate scales w/ the Arcane stat so if you're having trouble farming • Equipment like Silver Tear Husk and Marika's Soreseal can add 13 arc • If you have 2 larval tears to waste you can restat to get the drop, then change back (Dope shit as always Madman)
You also have the Silver Scarab Talisman, and the Silver Tear Mask which raises Arcane by 8. Between the Husk, the Soreseal, the Talisman, and the Mask, with a respec you can get some insanely good drop rates.
Yeah if you're really going to be a completionist it's worth respeccing into an arcane build for the extra base item find. That plus silver tear mask, silver fowl foot, and the silver scarab talisman should cut down on farming time.
While other channels click bait me and show me items I’ve seen 20 times, this video actually showed me something I’ve never seen in the first 2 minutes
I kinda like that the rarer weapons aren’t particularly strong and are in most cases somewhat mediocre, relegating them to the role of something like a trophy, so people don’t feel like they NEED to farm them to have an advantage
Thats the point indeed. I hope that on the future DLCs they will go full weird and fun Armor pieces as well. (They have to work on their helmets tho... not always good in ER imo)
@@TheHonoredMadman Yknow i just realized this last night? I found myself trying to choose between hoslows helm and freaking drake knight helm. DRAKE KNIGHT HELM. To be honest I do like how it looks…. Or WOULD look if it weren’t for the monstrosity sticking out of the top. But yea I liked DS2 fashion in general. Kings set, velstadts, and heide knights set. Top tier indeed
Counterpoint: I mained the Halo Scythe and there were a lot of points in the game where I straight up felt like I was cheating. PvE is a joke with it, and 75% of PvPers brains shut down if you start hitting L2 when they run. You can just casually beat Malenia by walking away and hitting L2 which feels appropriate given the Miquella connection
You are encouraging me to get the unaltered banished knight chest piece. And I did not know about the High Page set at all! Shout out to my favorite rare armor set, the Blue Silver. For me, it’s the head piece, It goes well with any dark or silver colored armors.
I love how anything you say has the lore behind it, making this list amazing compared to other ones. makes each weapon feel more special. you can make videos about anything in elden ring, and I will watch.
There's a ghost in Dominula that talks fearfully about hearing a 'festive melody' and then starts begging someone not to skin him, swearing his 'hide is filthy'. I figure the dancers also skin people. I can see why one would figure it was the apostle's job though, but I took it to imply that Dominula is the Godskin village in general.
At one of the Grace sites in Castle Sol you can see one of the unaltered Banished Knight guys off in the distance. If you shoot him with an arrow he can teleport up to you right next to the Grace. If he doesn't immediately teleport to you you're better off resting and trying again.
I got the octopus helm on my first playthrough when I killed the giant octopus in some mines. It seemed like a special little scenario so I thought it was guaranteed drop lol, I wore it for a bit but then went back to wearing the goblin imp head instead because I at least knew that the goblin imp head was rare
Blue silver chest is one of my favorite chest armors. I use it on a “black knight” build. The cloak is pretty dark, it is blue I think but ya know, armor isn’t too bright either and there’s not loads of black armor
I’ve been trying to farm this for a minute now. Got the helm but still no chest piece which is what I really want to add the great hood to. I have 10 larvar tears plus all the ones still at the merchant sites so I’m going to spec all points into arcane, use silver scarab talisman and pickle foot and go on a Lands Between shopping spree 😊
First time watching one of your videos, and I took a bong hit at the end not even knowing what your outros were like, what a coincidence😂 cheers brother, love the content!
For Nobles Slender Sword and Estoc: I farmed a lot of these for a specific build. Waypoint ruins is fine but some reason it is annoying. Alternative; Rampart Side Path almost dead center of Altus Plateau has a farm spot for the Estoc that seems to go smoothly. Calid Highway South on the far West side of Calid > Go directly South from grace, have to angle left to go up the hill. You will find a graveyard. ONE OF THESE MOBS WILL TURN INTO A MINIBOSS FOR LARVAL TEAR. However, there are 7-9 of the sword wielding guys there all in a small group.
More important and more painful farm than the Silver Blue Mail, is the St. Trina's arrows, which ONLY drop from those enemies. Otherwise, there are only 40 in the game
@@TheHonoredMadman Not St. Trina Arrows, which have a 96 Sleep status infliction. You can craft Sleepbone Arrows, which have a 75(?) Sleep status infliction. As well as fletched version, which travel farther.
I got the octopus head on my first playthrough on one of the first octopi I killed; I always assumed it was a guaranteed drop! Should have bought a lottery ticket that day O_O
A tip for the spectral dual-swords banished knight at Castle Sol, do not hit him from a distance or try to sneak up on him. If you do that he's scripted to immediately teleport behind you and unleash a special wombo-combo that will take you from 100 to 0 no matter your build. Always initiate combat with a heavy running attack. He's still farily hard to fight but at least he won't break out that special combo.
I feel like the Cleanrot Spear should have been mentioned alongside the Halo Scythe. Both weapons are fairly rare in terms of drop rate and also really good.
I just recently did a Rune Level 30 playthrough where I killed EVERY boss. Farmed EVERY weapon TWICE and EVERY armour. I didn’t level up any weapon past Somber 2 either so late game farms are slow as hell. Like the Envoy Greathorn It was horrible and took me 190hours total.
I’m very keen to try a low lvl run. I feel it might give a whole new perspective on the game. It gets really easy eventually, aside from final main bosses.
I can confirm the Banished Knight just outside of the Dragon Communion Chapel grave drops the Banished Knight coat too. So you don't have to parkour all over Castle Sol to find it.
Adding my reply here that it is most definitely not the same armor. They drop the unaltered headpiece that has the red cloth wrapped around it, but in terms of armor it's only the altered set.
The dual sword wielding Banished Knight can be taken out very easily by spamming the colossal sword crouch poke. You can also spam Lion's Claw or Giant Hunt on them but you might miss them and instantly die.
for those of you wondering how rare the Celebrant's Sickle is, I've been farmin since, a little after 4 in the morning, so i wanna say 4:15. It ks currently 6:40, and i have no sickle, but i do have 3 rakes and 3 cleavers
Rib rake was an absolute bitch for me and then I realized I still hadn't seen a single Sickle on my 2x everything character after spamming Waves of Gold on the exact farm that drops the Sickle for 12+ hours . . .😭
Already subbed but immediately liked video and wanted to sub twice when you mentioned Ween! Such a great band dude! I’ll forever put respec on your name! 🎉❤🎉
I had no idea the nobles headband was rare. I've gotten 2 just from fighting UPDATE: I went to the lake to try my luck at the octopus head. Got it on my 2nd run. Looks cool with some of my hammer weapons
The jewel one I literally had no idea existed until it dropped on like playthrough 5 for me after dedicated farming, but I may just have shit luck. Tbh most of these are based off my personal experience I realize haha
Thanks for mentioning the info about the shield. I though I was going insane because I was farming the haligtree knight set and wondering why I wasn't getting the shield
That head band is going to look so good on my Link build. I've been trying to find something that shows the face that isn't a hood, and I think this is the perfect fit
Bro lets gooo im so glad you're doing this. Some of the best fun I've had in this game has been boosting my discovery to get these great items. I just got the noble slender sword the other day. I've also kicked many octopuses in the ass but only get the eggs on occasion. Only thing that sucks is having to slaughter those poor penguins to get the fowl feet. I use Eraxyes Decay and pretend I'm painlessly gassing them.
@@TheHonoredMadman I've tried out all the other ones. I got frustrated by the hitboxes of the magma ones. I just couldn't reliably hit anything with it/it would get blocked by a tiny piece of geometry and do no damage
@@TheHonoredMadman Currently clearing the wormface lake at Farum Azula. All this deathblight is making me want a deathbreath incantation. Imagine the blighted dragon you could summon with horrible blightbriars sticking out of it at obscene angles
@@TheHonoredMadman ahhh okay I wasn’t sure if the helm was indicative of their ability to drop the unaltered chest piece or not I’ve hit about 550 hrs and it’s the first one I’ve ever gotten
Noble slender sword when keen is the highest damage, longest range straight sword. Dual wielded, it's probably the most dps you can do. Ended up being the last weapon set I used before uninstalling as nothing was as effective.
To this day, the Envoy’s Greathorn is the only weapon/armor/item I still need to complete my collection. I collected every single piece of armor and the altered versions of the helmets and chest pieces where applicable. I collected every single type of shield, even though I’ve never used a shield in my life. I even managed to get two of the Monk’s Flameblade, but that horn… it haunts me.
Started a new game from scratch and whenever I got to the haligtree, I remembered this weapon existed but couldn’t remember if I got it in my previous game so I figured I would give it a shot. Spawned in, went through the first branch towards the end and fought the big head boss with the big horn and he dropped it first go hahaha felt like something wrong happened because it dropped so randomly easy
@@Sinhsseax I guarantee you’re thinking of the Envoy Longhorn. Those are a dime a dozen. You don’t get 3 envoy greathorns unless you farmed for it, and got lucky.
@@665Sunshine Ah, I just checked. You're right, I messed that up. I have about 10 Envoy Longhorns, but I did get the drop for the Greathorn once. And I did not farm for that one.
I got the headband twice in 3 playthroughs and the octopus head twice without farming. I heard the Imp cat mask only has a .5% drop rate too and have 3 of those. No aristocrat sword or rapier across 270 hours though
Unrelated thing you might find interesting because RU-vid ate my comment concerning Banished Knights and their armour: *The Churches of Marika are about as deteriorated as the medieval church ruins left around today. That would imply roughly or near 1000 years having passed since they were last cared about and maintained.*
You can track most of the timeframes into normal history if you date the rebirth of Godfrey as Christ’s ascension date, I.e day 1 AD. If the Tarnished is in present day, George RR Martin actually states that he wrote the history as far back as 5000 years ago, perfectly placing the ancient dynasty (oldest known civilization that we have ruins for) back at 3000-35000ish BC. That perfectly coincides with the artwork/motifs within the dynasty’s palaces around the underground area, which are almost identical to ancient Assyrian/Akkadian artifacts
@@sp5072 Exactly! There's so much of the historian's chops in there that it's unmistakable. We even have a square-cuneiform on the tablets scattered around the world. A Cube-eiform text if you will. There's signs of more complex versions of the same writing around too, as though samples throughout the ages encountered some drift in their writing. Or it's a whole other culture's writing that bears a resemblance due to the way we tend to reuse alphabets more than languages. There's always that. Latin is not English but we use the same letters, more or less.
If there's DLC coming, I can't wait for the new armors and weapons! I played five times until I finally found the nox monk set! That was cool and is just about a week or two ago... There are still some armors and weapons I'm wondering and trying, like the onyx-lord followers stuff or the flowered guardian jacket and spear, or the knife of the mad perfumers... Harder as the whip is the armor of this big monk or the staff of the witches! The snake people have a whip and a blade, who're not burning, I tried so long to farm them, but nothing.... The weapons of the skeletons are pretty hard to get and spears over all, specially the cleanrot, are hard to farm... And the urumi I just found cause of a video!
I should've mentioned the bone magma version of the sword but I don't think it's obtainable it's just used by the snake men as you said. But I totally forgot about the flower jacket
Drop rate for Haligtree Greatshield seems much more consistent if done in the Morning. Don't ask me why this is what worked for me and supposedly others online, wasn't my idea. It worked though.
I think he may be the only one, unless one of the altered armor wearing ones also have them. But yeah it might just be unique to this one if he's the only red eye
Shizers man, you had never got the Octo Helm up until a week before posting this Video. Wowzers as I've only had the game for 3 Months and racked up 50 of those just in the last week. My Arcane is currently sitting at 44 Discovery at 144, with all Stat Boosting I got Discovery to 280.
@@nathreetimesnineequalstwen7172 idk what level you are but being max level and useing the silver fowl foot item plus equiping the discovery boosting talisman probably helped me alot lol
The altered banished night armor can be farmed at the church of dragon communion tho 😮you just run out the front gate from the grace, kill the dude pateolling, who is wearing the blanket-y altered helmet, and then just back to grace, rinse and repeat. Took a couple tries, but it was very easy, since its literally just him there, he spawns basically in front of grace and he is pretty easy to kill since its in the earlier game, and he dont teleport. So then theres THREE dudes in the game you can get it from :3 cause thats where I got it.
My first playthrough i had 6 noble escots and 4 noble straight sword although i recently as in today found a normal enemy with a chest that i killed and he dropped a golden rune 8. He was at the bottom of the hill near stormcaller church.
O hear a lot about the banished knights lately, in castle sol, but I got my helmet (unaltered) in stormveil castle, on my first playthrough. Idk if it changed in recent patches, but I’m pretty sure I got mine there, because I remember being to heavy for me to wear at the time but it looked cool.
Yeah the entry was only about the chest piece. You can get the unaltered helm a few places, one of them is that knight mourning the dead stormhawk in stormveil, and I think the ones at the caelid dragon communion also drop it
There's two actually. Second you can't see here, but to the lower left of this view you can identify a face on an angle (right tilted head, tilting left from your perspective).
When i went for my Cleanrot knight build I got way too many of the halo weapons, it annoyed me because it took me 20 minutes to get the greaves which I needed. But noooo the game gives me funny circle pole
To farm the thorn whip plant a latenna on the cliff side above the flame cultists then go pull the big man. Latenna will cheese him to death. Easy whip.
Ik you’re busy as fuck with these already but getting into the “lesser” enemies of this game is always fun to hear about, like the nobles and the pages. Everyone sort of knows the big picture characters but those smaller factions and groups are more interesting to hear about since they provide a lot of environmental storytelling. Sort of similar to the vid u did on the fallen hawks and the little angry men
I actually have been wanting to cover pages and the Nobles but they keep getting pushed back because of a lack of info on them but there will be a video at some point
@@TheHonoredMadman true, the schedule looks crazy already. Idk if anyone has cornered the niche subgroups of er yet, like how some got channels have 45 min long vids on an obscure tribe in Essos mentioned in two sentences
I’m pretty sure there’s only one enemy in the whole game that drops the haligtree great shield. It’s the one as soon as you turn the corner after the pest room that has a great sword. None of the others drop it im pretty sure
Was about to mention this. As I understand only Haligtree knights that wield the Shield and sword by default can drop it. And there is only like two of those. The ones with a spear or great bow will not drop it.
Got the chain link flail my first playthrough on my first time fighting the pumpkin head at fort haight, have never gotten one since in any playthrough and the friends I play way haven’t either
Absolutely loved this video, but I was shocked to see that the Grave Scythe wasn't on this list, that bastard has an abysmal droprate, and as someone who farmed four for PVP feints, I was stuck in front of the church with the turtle for hours even at 99 Arcane
I think I got lucky with it because I already had one and I didn't even remember it dropping do instantly thought it was maybe something I picked up and didn't get from an enemy but you're right it appears to have a ridiculously low drop rate
