During the 1980’s Freddie was one of the most high in demand and the highest paid comedian in Britain, and it wasn’t just for his personal appearances and sold out shows, but also for the TV companies who Freddie would make one off TV specials for, and Freddie would remain in high demand going into the 1990’s as well. This VHS release features a compilation of footage and sketches from some of those TV specials including his appearances with Des O’ Connor.
DESCRIPTION ON BACK OF THE VHS COVER
Freddie Starr Is Back....and is as outrageous as ever. Fun, laughter and music are the name of the game in this specially compiled comedy extravaganza, as a host of celebrities are given the Freddie Starr touch. The outrageous Freddie Starr is aided and abetted by: Des O’ Connor, Shirley Bassey, Gary Lineker, Anna Dawson, Tim Barrett and Jane West. Also appearing are The Colin Keyes Orchestra and The Alan Braden Orchestra.

😂😂😂😂😂😂 the best entertainer off my lifetime with no doubt at all. Hilarious, a brilliant mimic and fantastic singer. Just one talent would be enough for most entertainers but Freddie wasn't like most entertainers, he was a one off and the best that there was.We won't ever see his equal again and thats a fact.Missed by millions and still gaining fans. Today's crop could learn a thing or 2 from the one and only Freddie Starr ❤

just a shame how he turned out. rapey little shit as it happened. by the way, when you decide to stick your head out from your 20th century turtle shell, you'll find plenty oif physical humorists. you mean you missed all the sold out Bottom tours Rick Mayall and Ade Edmunson did even in the 90's? But, when Freddie was good he was REALLY GOOD. Amphetamine fueled surrealist insanity, Not quite Robin Williams, but in a British Northern club circuit sense, he was totally fine-tuned into it.

What a wonderful wonderful person Freddie was. Not many people would have got away with the act at 43:55 with Shirly Bassy, but Freddie was such a genius. He was so funny and so talented and he will be missed by so many RIP Freddie, we will all meet again someday in heaven.

I was born in the late 1960's but when Freddie was on our TV which was my parent's favorite dude we couldn't help but laugh even before he was on screen ... Freddie brought millions a laugh...We loved him for that but his daughter Tara suffered...She didn't see her Father often & when she did she got the full blown end of misery that stardom dished out ...Remember folks that extreme pressure effects all famous people... I hope that Tara today is doing Ok...She's a loved Lass..😉🌹

I honestly feel we were so much better off back in late 70’ s 80’s and 90’s as w3had fabulous comedy on tv and we laughed- ALOT,! We has stress back then with money , jobs family thee same as now , but the stuff we had on tv ran absolute rings around d the shite that’s in today! We have hundreds of channels but very little worth watching, whereas back then there was no bitching or offenses taken at name calling or comedy picking on certain people, beliefs, colour sex and sexual orientations etc but we knew it wasn’t meant to offend and everyone was picked on ina joke at some point but it was made to make us take life easier and not be so tight and stressed, let’s laugh at eachother with each other and enjoy taking the mickey as it was meant to be taken! We were just laid back and tv made us laugh and relax and enjoy life by forgetting our troubles for a bit . Shouldn’t we do that now as we could all do with lightening up an£having fun together! Love ya Freddy !
