Only when i'm at sea 🌊I don't want to risk getting any of that salt water in my GoPro, even if i don't dive deep. I've seen some videos of people showing the corrosion that happened to their GoPros even when they thought they were cleaning it properly afterwards 😬
Yes but not yet for diving more than 10 meters. Regarding the dive case I also use it to protect the camera when I can fall for example while riding a bike. Protect it from splashes of mud too.🙃

I bought my first GoPro, the hero 10 literally like four hours ago. It hasn’t even finished its initial charge. I’ve had digital cameras for over 20 years but its mind blowing what the GoPro is capable of so I’m catching up on these videos to learn more. You have some great tips I wouldn’t have ever thought of.
I agree with you on the interest of the waterproof case but not only for the depth when diving. I had an unfortunate experience with my GoPro 10 which took water but I did not dive to 10 meters. Water pressure also exists when you dive from a boat for example or in big waves. There, the pressure can exceed the limit of the housing. You have to be careful with this too. The waterproof case will protect your camera for sure.
An accessory I use often when diving or snorkelling is the wrist/hand mount! Great to be hands free with also the option to spin the GoPro around 360degrees for different shots! Btw since you and Anna are living in uk now id 100% recommend jumping into a camper van and do Ireland wild Atlantic way! You’ll honestly not be disappointed with what it offers and so convenient now that yous are in the UK! I live bang on it!
Dunno if someone else already caught it, but you had the Røde parts backwards. The transmitters are the mics, they transmit the sound they pickup to the receiver, which gets attached to your camera, computer, or sound system. I have one of these (as well as the DJI system) and love it. I prefer the DJI system because it has a charging case which is very handy. I mainly used mine connected to a sound system, but I also see the value in using them with a camera.
This is actually really useful. I realized I was going to pick up the wrong accessories and now I will definitely change my choices based on your recommendations!

The Gopro power button's cover goes weak through time and mine broke and water seeped in through it. So I would still recommend the Dive case for Snorkeling just to be safe with the device. Thanks for these tips!
To anyone using their Gopro in anything deeper than about 2 meters I would highly recommend using a dive case. After buying a brand new Hero 10 and doing light snorkelling with Mantas on the 3rd day of use my rear screen does not work anymore :( buttons and recording are unaffected but GoPro will not replace or help you in any case of water damage. Definitely not 10M water proof
I surprised I saw your other video about transitions where you actually used the bite mount effectively and its totally changed my perspective. I no longer thick it’s a silly uses mount. I might even make one and try it out.

@@JakeRichandAnnaChah True! I actually have a little powerbank that has much more juice than the volta and it can be used as a grip, you can also screw a little tripod on the bottom, so i use that when i know i'm gonna be shooting for long. It works pretty well :)

I had made my choice of accessories quickly having listed my outdoor activities so in fact before I needed them on the given day. From your inventory I realize that I made the right choices in fact...certainly because of the previous videos on the same subject too. SO I do already have most of ones you talk about.😎 The bag does seem pretty cool.👍 RODE Wireless GO enough interesting. Yep, to get some external storage disk is clearly helpful. Anna and You are Pro’s people in Pic/Video contents creations, so your needs are very amplified and the material is often pushed to the end. A 3-battery charging box like the one by Telesin is EVEN better. Charge, store, carry. For bicycle travel video I love the variable mounting capabilities of the Gorillapod. I also use a handlebar mount with an SP aluminium extension bar and a set of Ulanzi magnetic quick-release mounts to swap quickly and simply from the handlebar mount to Gorillapod to handgrip.

Love your videos and everything on your channel but one thing I don’t agree with you is the micro sd card. Sandisk extreme is not really that good I used it on my Gopro 5, 7, 8 (worked well) and now on Gopro 9. Most problems with this micro sd card is on Gopro 9 (freezing, hard to connect on quik app) so I bought Sandisk extreme pro which is better but still not good as it should be. For this newer GoPro’s you need the fastest micro sd card to work properly. I search on internet for solution and some people are suggesting Samsung evo plus, they said it’s works well on gopro 9 and 10. I haven’t tried it yet but I might. In my experience with Gopro 9 Sandisk extreme is not worth buying at least get extreme pro it’s a little more expensive but it’s better!!

Lol I have the dive case but use it mostly for dust on my cheaper action camera but I just invested to a GoPro and I hope it’s much easier to use then the junk I got lol
One thing I don’t like about using waterpoof case is I cannot touch screen when I want to change some setting quickly :( And it might be ok to use without case for the new one (in the water that not too deep) but I don’t recommend for old gopro cause my old Gopro 7 broken because of it takes water when I was just snorkeling. I don’t use dive case for my new Gopro11 tho cause I want to touch the screen. Last time with 4-5 meters underwater is still ok but thinking about next long diving trip. Pray for me 😂
definitely a lot of improvements have been made since hero 7 in terms of digital field of view, sensor size and image quality along with creative features like star trails and light painting effects

I bought my go pro 11 to use to record my bands live stuff. What accessories would you recommend to get the best recording possible.Not sure if it matters but we play metal, so low lights and stage lights flashing and such.I haven't seen any vids on this subject.

Hey, I love the shotgun mic idea! What microphone do you use to typically record yourself talking during these videos while indoors? Have you found that the audio quality on the media mod is actually reliable and usable for outdoor shots? I've heard mixed things about the media mod, but a lot of reviews are saying that it isn't very good, and that I should just buy a separate microphone for recording indoor videos like this one.

I have a drone. Will buy go pro b4 heading to Italy in 2 weeks. Basically I just need it for walking around the city. Is all I need the selfish stick, wind thingy, and Camera? Does it use an SD card and I figure I have to download an app too. In essence I'm not currently going to do any underwater stuff quite yet. I appreciate the response. Really depends on your specific use case, we tend to find the 3-way a little flimsy and clunky, it doesn't transform smoothly from one shape to the next however it is very versatile. For us we prefer having the extra length of the el grande and its simplicity

Hi Sari, we use the G-Dome for hero 11/10/9, and we use it without a selfie stick or handles, another option is the telesin dome for hero 11/10/9, it's much cheaper but it does a worst job of removing water droplets from the lens as it has a much rounder dome. For context we were filming a free diver and after an 18m dive we were resting on a buoy of which we thought the camera was attached, turns out it wasn’t

Firat mount I got was the bike mount, if you put it on a stick or ski pole it doubles as a mono pod or selfie stick. Sort of a three in one accessories hack.
