11. Hamilton Animatic - "Satisified" (Jane and JV BLIND REACTION 🎵) 

It’s easy to see why this is one of the musical’s most popular songs. So we have Angelica, absolutely the best sister in the world. She’s essentially met her equivalent in mind, philosophy and ambition and she can’t be with him because of one thing. She rationalizes it with her “fundamental truths” but she just can’t bring herself to hurt her sister. You’re also starting to see how every character has their themes worked in throughout the musical whether it be Eliza’s “Helpless” or Ham’s “My Shot”. Excited for more!

Angelica experience two heartbreaks. One for giving up on Alexander for his sister and the other is that Alexander cheated on Eliza and hurting her sister.

Fun fact: the reason Angelica said “when he said hi I forgot my dang name” is because she was married at the time (to John Baker Church) so she would’ve been Angelica Church

How they're using the word "Satisfied" is that Angelica and Hamilton match wits in how they will never be happy where they are and will always strive for more, Hamilton will never be satisfied with the goals he reaches because he will always make another for himself, so he will go through his life never being satisfied with where he is

Did you see John Laurens's face when Angelica was talking at the beginning. He looked so freaking sad. I've always thought that he was in love with Alexander too.

That's sad right, Angelica is the best sister ever, you may see it after with the song Congratulations, but it's not in the musical and you'll see it after Alex....ugh, i don't even want to remember, but i think you're gonna cry, cause i know i and we all did 😭

A couple facts: 1) The Schuylers did have sons (two, I believe), so the Schuyler fortune was quite safe. 2) Hamilton met Elizabeth while she was visiting her aunt and uncle, so no Angelica at the "Winter's Ball". 3) Angelica wouldn't have been there anyway, since at the time she was already and quite happily married and living in London (I believe). Mainly because she had eloped with her husband-to-be, whom she was very much in love with. She did suggest to Elizabeth in a letter that they could share Alexander, though the context makes it pretty obvious it was just a playful teasing between sisters, and she did remain a close friend of the Hamiltons until her death.

Basically, Angelica liked Hamilton first, but her sister Elise also did. Since Angelica cared about Eliza so much, she gave Hamilton to her. Angelica still can’t get over him.

I think the song congratulations is the perfect song to shoe just how badly she didn't get over him

Don't think she ever got over him. Was at his side when he died with Elizabeth and buried near him when she died.

Ah, to be so innocent as to believe every single person who has ever fallen in unrequited love can and does move on to another love eventually. Some people do, as many are compatible with many others in the world, but, others are far less compatible and only do ever find 'one' love whether it works out for them or not (Some never ever fall in love in the first place), it'll be the only time they feel that way about anyone, and for others they still are hung up on a past love for one reason or another and spend their whole life pining, or trying to move on but failing at an emotional, raw level. Some people don't get the closure they need to fully heal that kind of open wound. I've seen it in my own family, people living their entire lives to die with a bitter or broken heart. It happens.

I love how they wait until the song is over to talk about unlike other people
