Agree, people is nicer than what we thought. Yes, OMG the freedom we get is priceless and wins over stability 100% People keep asking us how much money we have that we travel so much, and I can't get tired of seeing their faces when I tell them it cost us 60-70% less of what we used to spend back in NYC
When we travel , we get to see and explore beautiful and sometimes not so beautiful destinations...very rewarding ..but the greatest reward to traveling for me has been the friendships I've made over the years in so many different countries.. great video
Hi lana. Some really great advice here. I agree that forward planning is great but also not to make it to regemented that you miss out on those spontaneous events. I love the fact that like your videos you present yourself for your comentary with beautifully done make up and hair. You are doing us kiwis proud. You rock!!!!
Hi John! Yes, our favourite moments are always the spontaneous ones 😄. Thanks so much for the kind words. I hope you and your family are doing well. NZ seems to be on the right track with everything 😊.
Hello Traveller Yildirim 👋🏼 Would love to visit a castle 🏰 We’re not doing any travel at the moment, but as soon as we do something exciting I’ll be filming it 😆 Thanks for staying tuned 😊
Yeeeees about the stability over happiness is what so many people so. And I get it, it's scary. But the reason we decided to go traveling is I was so scared of NOT going. I still miss it everyday! And also- about kindness - I'm always saying- PEOPLE ARE KIND! But all of this is all spot on. I didn't realise you met Carlos while travelling! Lovely video!
Same here! I think I’d be more scared not to go. People really are kind, it’s so heart warming ❤️. And yes we met right at the beginning of our travels ☺️. Hope you guys are doing well in the UK! Take care!
For me, it's very important to do my research before I go to a new country, but then be sure not to know EVERYTHING. As you said, you want to leave room for some surprises! That's a fine line, but an important one.
At this time, it was difficult for everyone because of the corona virus 19. Thank you very much for this valuable video. I hope that the corona virus 19 will disappear as soon as possible, and at the same time, I sincerely support your channel as it develops.
I so agree! People in the Philippines were genuinely happier with almost nothing than people here who have everything and more. Though I am so much more appreciative and grateful to be a kiwi because of that experience. 🖤
Yes, we have a lot to be thankful for in NZ. We can learn so much from people in less developed countries. Filipinos are such happy people it’s really contagious 😆😊. Glad you got to have that experience ❤️.
So nice of that guy to purposely give you back your 10c! People generally are really lovely and nice wherever you go. Yea! Can't agree more, don't need many possessions to be happy and your level of freedom really does affect happiness (at least that's how we feel too) 🙂💕 oh my goodness yes we always research a bit before we go somewhere too. At least the basics and then the rest we learn while there. Yea traveling is a lot cheaper than many realise, especially Asia and it's just so interesting there 👍 NZ always home for us too 🇳🇿 we need to learn to not book too far in advance now, coronavirus has helped pushed us that way lol 😅 Yea definitely great last tip on enjoying the moment. There's so much of our travels we don't include in our vlogs and IG either coz we make sure to have a good level of our own time and privacy too ❤️ Lol I think I commented on like almost everything you said on this coz it's so relatable 😁💕 Great video Lana! Enjoy your weekend 👋🙂
People really are so kind everywhere we go. I had it happen quite a few times in Asia especially, where I almost gave people large amounts of money and they told me which bills I needed to give them. So thankful for their honesty. I would’ve never noticed at the time 😂😂. Singapore felt so safe! I’m glad I started my travels there. We really don’t need much. I think living out of a bag helped me to realise this. The Basics are so important and really help us when we arrive in a new country. Asia is great on the budget. I agree it’s a totally different culture there which is always interesting. Yeah, I bet. All those cancellations would’ve really been time consuming. Same here, I try to only film 1-2 days out of the week. Personal time is so important and plus you gotta enjoy your travels too, it can’t all be work and no play 😊. Thanks so much for watching and commenting on everything 💕
This is awesome, We plan on doing a gap year soon once we save enough money to travel for a long period of time. Thanks for sharing your experience and what you learn! Lessons like these cant be learned in a classroom. Keep up the great work! We just subscribed as well, lets connect!
Hello Aimlessly drifting! Nice to meet you! I agree! These are lessons that definitely can’t be learnt in a classroom. Exciting that you’re choosing to do a gap year. Hopefully travel will open soon enough 😊 What countries would you like to visit?
Hello Lauren! That’s so great to hear! Da nang is an awesome place! So glad that you’re enjoying yourselves there 😄. We hope to go back to Da nang at some point too 😆.
@@LanaTiare We are! It was a bit unsettling with the virus going on. Understandably some of the locals weren't being kind towards westerners. But, that seems to be easing now! Hope your enjoying your travels!
Ah yes I bet. It’s not an easy time to be a foreigner right now. But I’m happy to hear things are easing up for you guys now. We hope you are enjoying too! Take care 😊
yeah always great to experience and learn new things from traveling, we love to experience local cultures and so glad that you pursue the solo traveler and end up found out your partner!! yay
Great advice. Possessions don't make for happiness. I learnt that the hard way when I became homeless 4 years ago after divorce, my daughter stayed with me and she learnt the same at the age of 16 which I believe will help her in life. Like you say, money is a tool, don't let money rule your life, the little things are so much more important. Memories last far longer than a piece of tech or clothing. PS. Make some new videos, I need more of that accent and buttery voice 😁
countryside_guy I’m sorry to hear that. Yes, possessions don’t always bring us happiness. Your daughter will definitely benefit from that lesson, memories last longer :) I’m so happy I learnt that too. Yes, I’m currently in the process of making new videos, so hopefully in the next few weeks I’ll have some new content for you 😄
Your first video says you quit your job to travel. Out of curiosity, how are you able to constantly afford travelling with no steady income? You are amongst many that do so and most of them don't reveal how they did it like it's some big secret or something.
Hello Andrei, Initially I worked as a Nurse and at a call centre saving for one year before I left home. And after about 9 months of travel I decided I could do this full time. So I found an Online English teaching job and have been teaching online for 2 years now. I work part time hours as the countries we travel to are low cost of living, so I have time to travel and make enough for spending and saving. I made a video about how I afford to travel when I first started my channel. You can view it here. I also post many cost of living videos discussing how affordable it is to live in each place I travel to. There are so many ways to travel and work online these days the options are endless. If you want to talk about it more in-depth feel free to add me on Instagram ‘lana Tiare’ and we can talk more about it there. I hope this answers your question 😊 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fM4b9I7-sdU.html
@@LanaTiare Arggg, I didn't see that video, my bad, I scanned too quickly. I just listened to it and it's very informative. You explain it well. All the best in your travels! :)
@@LanaTiare Full time no. But I do like to travel from time to time. I've been to Australia, quite a few places in Europe, US and Canada. I was born in Romania but live in Canada for the last 30 years. One day, I'll go visit New Zealand and you can be my guide and show me around. ;) I wanna check out the areas where Lord of the Rings was filmed and check out the Shire.
@@Andrei-oj1jz Oh nice! Canada must be a great place to live. Haha not even I have visited the lord of the rings places, but yes of course. If I am in NZ 😆
