In Xenoverse 2 if you use custom cell and give him the spirit bomb for one of his super attacks he yells "I told you I could do it if I wanted to" I found it amusing personally.

Attention to detail is one of the features that keeps people returning to these old titles. Wish more modern ones had things like this.

Don'T forget in Budokai 3, Gokus Dragonrush ability "Warp Kamehame-Ha" usually let's enemys shooting a Ki blast onto Goku, which he then dodges with the Teleport and then shoots the Kamehame-Ha Wave onto the enemy. But when the opponent is someone who can't shoot Ki-Blasters like Mr. Satan or Uub, they just randomly stand there and look at Goku.

I love the dedication to Bardocks bloody look. That is so cool. Shame they didn't do the same for Gohan but I imagine they were trying to keep the rating in T considering how bad his arm looked and him being a pre-teen.

On the subject of jumping ki blasts, they can be charged, Goku has the unique trait of shooting a Destructo Disc rather than a regular ki blast when charging it (other than Krillin)

Tenkaichi series are a true love letter to the series, they never cease to surprise me. The reporter in Cell Games arena is an unexpected easter egg that I never knew it existed and also, it's fun to think that Vegeta's Technique™ was actually a thing in the game, before it become a meme.

What's probably happening in the Raging Blast games is, the models ARE being swapped out, but activating a transformation plays a specific cutscene to sort of keep the illusion. If you were somehow able to freecam during the transformation, you could probably still find the arena somewhere.

The Tribeam in Xenoverse changes if you are on the ground or not. On the ground its constantly one handed in the air its normal

a correction on the tri-beam xenoverse 2 easter egg they don't actually have to be above you it just happens if you are on the ground when using it.

10:55 Small thing, this is actually grade 2. While it's implied that Vegeta learned Grade 3, he never uses it due to it's drawbacks. Meanwhile Trunks uses it because he's a less experienced fighter and simply assumes the power boost makes it better. Grade 3 is only ever shown being used by Trunks and Goku. Though it's definitely confusing with the names being both: Super Vegeta & Super Trunks

Another nice thing about the jump ki volley, you can do a charged blast. Krillin and base Goku (Mid) get a special mini-Destructo Disc for their jumping charge blast.

The "swaying" in Tenkaichi 3 you displayed w/ Guldo isn't swaying, it's simply the stepping mechanic. Swaying is an actual mechanic that can only be used in close-quarters. As for Raging Blast 2, you can do the back-step infinitely w/ Guldo, you just have to keep mashing down. If you mistime it then you'll go back to regular movement. That's all.

In Xenoverse 2 there is a small/fun mechanic: stamina regeneration is quicker when your character is standing on the ground rather than floating in the air

I always assumed that the noise with the Broly and Chi-chi scene was Chi-chi hitting Broly with the frying pan of doom.

In Xenoverse 2 there's a Reference in the Parallel Quest 27 : Metal Cooler Riot where if you complete you might unlock Sauzer Blade which might be a reference to Dragon Ball Budokai 3 or Salza one of Cooler's Armoured Squadron since he doesn't appear that much in games they just gave that cool move to Cooler

3:10 it's not weird, it makes sense to me: a ki blade was only used by salza until zamasu, and it's freaking cool, so they gave it to cooler to put it in these games, because these games aren't Budokai Tenkaichi were they have 150+ characters and can put salza just for that move. Also, TFS reference joke 😉

Vegeta has always been known as a ki blast spammer despite him having multiple forms in the tenkaichi series almost all of them have the volley ki blast attack however there is one rush attack that vegeta has that's actually referenced a lot and that's his attack against cell when he fought second form cell as super vegeta where he kicks cell in the gut in budokai 3 this is actually a finishing move when you use dragon rush that multiple characters share not just vegeta off the top of my head uub uses it as his finisher when you get the full dragon rush off

I'd noticed the two people in the Cell Games background back in the day and assumed they were Mr. Satan's TV crew, and it's really nice having my idea confirmed so many years later. I loved these games for that stuff so much.

I'm honestly vary surprised they added the announcer and cameraman from the show in budokai Tenkaichi 3 also I would personally LOVE a secrets in Naruto games video (one of which I can point out is in one of the PS2 naruto storm titles Naruto gets a unique and slightly broken form known as Green Beast which I'm sure never showed up in the show as a filler episode)

A fun little detail with Xenoverse 2 is when selecting the CAC voice option (Male option 8) which is voiced by Taka from Team four star. He will sound like Abridged Nappa. And if you use the move Destructo disk, your character will shout "Pizza Time" also when using the tri beam. Your character will yell out "Geometry" and "Advanced Geometry" when using the Neo Tri Beam.

Here is a curiosity about dbz tenkaichi 3: when a multi-hit clash is made, if child characters do it, there will be moments where instead of hitting each other they will simply hit nothing while they are spinning. Example: goten, trunks, pan, etc.

One "ki spammer" i loved to use was Super Gogeta. Charging his jumping ki blast would shoot a group of smaller energy blasts that would deal considerable damage, if i remember correctly, more than 15k if they all hit! Hard to aim but very good against giants :D

Another easy to miss detail about Tenkaichi 3 is the Super Saiyan Grades 2 and 3 for Android Saga Vegeta and Armored Future Trunks: When performing their Ki charge, their Ki is the normal SSJ Ki despite being a transformation beyond SSJ, but in reality, they're still SSJ with a minor multiplier to their power level in lore In short, SSJ, Super Vegeta and Super Trunks all have the yellow Ki when they perform their Ki charge, while SSJ2, SSJ3, and SSJ4 has a yellow-orange like Ki
