better than smith 🙃

I agree, he's the best American in this draft.

Definitely faster

Def faster, but doesn't have the IQ, hands and passing of Smith. If mtl get a pick between 5 to 8 I'd be happy with either one

@@ryangrant4060 Better defensive IQ and overall game. Plays with more pace with the puck. Great playmaker but a notch below Smith I agree.

@@thepuckenthusiastMoore is 2x the defender Smith is, faster, better face-off man and battles harder. Smith has better hands vision and passing. Shot is about even.

Thanks for all the videos you've put out! Great to fill the void during the off-season. Anyway you could make a shift by shift of Easton Cowan?

Can you make more videos of players going in the top 15? Like But, Dvorsky, Cristall, Reinbacher, Barlow, Wood and Benson

I saw you mention that you think Moore is the best prospect from this USNT class. Can you mention why? I personally love his game, but do you think his offensive production could match the other two in the NHL?
@thepuckenthusiast
@thepuckenthusiast Год назад
When you say the other two, you are refering to Smith and Leonard (Or Perreault)? I think his game and Leonard's game will translate better in the NHL. I see Moore as a 2 way 2nd line Center. He has the speed, the right scanning habits, can create. Reads the space well. Smith I don't think will be a full time center in the NHL. I am now debating between Leonard and Moore.
@thepuckenthusiast
@thepuckenthusiast Год назад
So if they all reach their full potential, he might might no be the best point producer but I think he'll bring more to the table overall. Interested to see how it goes.
@bret1575
@bret1575 Год назад
@@thepuckenthusiast don’t you think they all have 1st line potential? I am mainly referencing WS, RL, OM That makes sense though. I think Leonard is an incredibly complete player. He doesn’t have the same prowess in the defensive zone or in faceoffs or speed, but in my opinion everything else seems a bit better in Leonard vs Moore. And that’s not to say he’s slow or irresponsible. Far from it. He’s fast and agile. But yes only time will tell
@thepuckenthusiast
@thepuckenthusiast Год назад
@@bret1575 Yeah I agree for Leonard. What I like about him is that he drives the middle. I tracked some shots and he rarely shoots from the outside. I don't think Leonard is your primary point producer but he makes his linemates better (The Smith/Perreault line is not the same without him) with the way he plays. I'm usually more on the safer side projecting. Looking at past drafts we tend to overate players. Smith could be a first line winger if everything goes really well , that's his ceiling IMO but not sure he'll get there. Second line is more realistic. Moore, floor is high and realistically I see a second line center on a competitive roster with maybe more. Leonard can play anywhere.

Leonard outplayed him in this one
@thepuckenthusiast
@thepuckenthusiast Год назад
Leonard is great. I wouldn't say he was outplayed or even that it matters if he was outplayed or not. Love what Moore brings the the game. Really solid two way with pace. Disrupt plays, creates, the pressure, space awareness, the faceoffs...
@StephenHughes21
@StephenHughes21 Год назад
@@thepuckenthusiast It matters if I'm choosing between the two of them on draft day. Moore is a good player for sure.
@thepuckenthusiast
@thepuckenthusiast Год назад
@@StephenHughes21 I would pick Moore ahead of Leonard but I could understand for sure why someone would pick Leonard. It wouldn't take that much to convince me. But to come back to the initial topic, I prefer to look at attributes instead of who outplays who in a single game and in that particular case I don't agree that Leonard outplayed Moore. If you look at stats maybe you could say so, 2G for Leonard 2A for Moore but looking back at the game I just don't see it.
@StephenHughes21
@StephenHughes21 Год назад
@@thepuckenthusiast Leonard is much more effective attacking the middle of the ice. I'm pretty confident he's going to be a dangerous winger in the NHL. Like you said Moore has some good attributes mainly his skating and motor as well as some skill to go with it. Not as confident in what he'll be at the NHL level offensively.
@bryantlawson6270
@bryantlawson6270 Год назад
@@StephenHughes21Moore is more dangerous. His speed is out of this world, hes a two way center. Natural center at that and great face-off skills too. My problem with Leonard is he plays more like a power forward but isn't that big. His hands are pretty clean but hes gonna have a harder time in the NHL than Moore with his style of play. Moore pushes the pace to a high level. Frank nazar last year similarly did it too.
