“Gotta slob on the knob of the RU-vid algorithm sometimes”😂 so excited to pick up some of these titles I’ve been so slumpy all of March, but I have high hopes for April
I need to pick up Meeting Millie! Also I REALLY appreciate that you compared it to fanfic in a positive way and not a negative, condescending way like so many booktubers who are ignorant regarding fanfic.
comparing books to fanfic is the HIGHEST compliment from me haha. fanfic is awesome, it accomplishes so much in terms of eliciting emotion from readers
@@chandlerainsley Yesssss! Some of my favorite literature of all time are fanfics. You didn't need more brownie points from me bc I already love your content, but you still got some for that haha.
Cheat Sheet was honestly a really good book. I liked it a lot but it is closed door. Honestly don’t even know that you can call it closed door because they don’t actually do the deed during the book but despite that, from a girl that always wants some spice, I still really loved.
I’ve read pretty much every single elsie silver book and I haven’t rated them less than 4-5 stars so at this point she could release her grocery list and I’d read the hell out of it lol. Front runner !!definitely!! takes the cake for her best book and Stefan can step on me any day and I’d tell him to do it again
I hadn't had the best luck with tessa bailey books lately but after seeing you enjoyed secretly yours I decided to pick it up. I'm so glad I did it was fantastic!
I also LOVE when the guy falls first and pines the whole time. I don’t think any does it better than Torie Jean’s Finding Gene Kelly, which is on KU & has endometriosis rep 👀
I really liked Falon Ballard’s debut last year cause the conversations and problems the characters had felt so authentic to me! Can’t wait to read Just my type!
I love that at you always recommend something that I never heard about it (this time was "Like You Love Me" and I'm already looking it up because it sound right up my alley)
The Off Limits Rule by Sarah Adams is my favorite one of hers, I loved Cheat Sheet, but not nearly as much. It's brother's best friend, single mother romance and it was absolutely wholesome and tugging on heartstrings book. Still closed door though
I really enjoyed Secretly Yours as well even though I was kind of expecting to hate it after seeing the reviews and also dnfing Hook,Line and Sinker at 76% 😱 I will definitely be giving The Adrianna Locke book a go and I’m glad you are having a great reading year so far! 🤩
“Ew you’re a freshman, I’m a senior.” Is honestly not the *worst* response. Maybe something like “sorry we have too big an age gap” is better, but considering most HS seniors are 18, and most freshman are 14, I don’t want them hooking up then.
Read “The Front Runner” on your recommendation, loved it, but one issue I had was I hated the heroine from book 1 so I don’t know if I’ll go back in the series 😆
Hey Chandler, I just reread The Folk of the Air trilogy 🧡🧡 and saw that one vlog you did for it a few years back. It was so much fun hearing your thoughts and seeing your reactions 😂 I totally agreed with you and adore The Queen of Nothing as well. I am curious if you have by any chance got to read The Stolen Heir by Holly Black yet? It's about Jude's little brother Oak! 🙊📖💕
I really need authors to stop with this trope of people who run charities being too ashamed to accept money from people. That’s literally the entire premise of what charity is. I’ve worked in the non-profit world on and off and most of our effort is spent trying to convince people to give us their money.
I get liking a book that is not that spicy.. but why talk about it in a video named for spicy books?? Just kind of weird. It was Cheat Sheet in this video and if I’m not mistaken she did this with The Unhoneymooners” in another video about spicy books..
spice is a pretty vague term to me. books with no sex can be spicy. books with tons of sex can be completely devoid of heat. i'm not a sex for the sake of sex in books kinda person. i talk about books i find hot, sorry bout it
I haven’t read The Cheat Sheet so can’t comment on that but I remember I actually found The Unhoneymooners super spicey when I read it a few years ago! 😅 I think everyone has a different definition of what spice means to them 🌶
I hate Secretly Yours, with a solid passion. It was such a disappointment after all I've heard about Tessa Bailey. I couldn't feel more detached from the characters. I can't find anything good about it
