sir I have a doubt regrading the TCP-IP MODEL, when I searched in the google I found this .TCP is an example of a connection-oriented protocol. It requires a logical connection to be established between the two processes before data is exchanged. The connection must be maintained during the entire time that communication is taking place, then released afterwards. ,Can u clear this doubt except this your explaination is nice
TCP/IP is a model, where as TCP is a connection oriented protocol of the transport layer. TCP / IP supports connection oriented ( TCP ) and connection less (IP) communication ( Transport layer ) However in the network layer OSI supports both connection oriented and connection less Whereas TCP / IP supports only connection less communication.
Accroding to the book computer networks 5th edition by Tanenbaum the last layer is link layer, but you said host to network layer can you please give clarification.
