@@dominiczilahy2357 i disagree i personally miss more feminity they do not polarize. they both look in fact masculine. the feminity is missing. electrivity and magnetism
Teresa is a natural in front of the camera! And very charming as well. You should be on the show more often, Teresa. Grüße aus Deutschland (where choosing the fastest lane indeed is a national sport)
Still haven't finished the video, but have to say this is one of the funniest videos I have seen lately. Teresa and Raphael make a nice couple and their interaction is so fluid and fun that I got happy watching it. Also had a lot of fun, since as a Brazilian who did his master in Germany I can really see some aspects of each country in Raphael. Wish best of luck to you both and the team of Gentlemen Gazette!
Yeah I'm brazilian too and the cutting in line and speaking loudly are serious trademarks of anybody that has any trace of brazilian genes. Got great laughs with this video lol
@@bringmetheh0riz0n1 Any Latin genes. I'm Sicilian and although I was raised to be a "lady" I have a naturally loud voice. I really don't like this "dump on Rafael" thing, especially her criticizing his management skills.
@@Meira750 Nice! My family does come from Italy, so you're right ahaha Well I think it's more of a funny thing between them! My fiancé is from the US and she does say that I interrupt her way too often, and I kind of agree. She doesn't complain about it though, it's just a characteristic that's mine and Rafael's too! I think it's really funny when cultures clash like that, it makes for very interesting conversation lol. Try not taking it so personal! Let's laugh at our own expense!
@@bringmetheh0riz0n1 I do. My husband is German. Born in the US but very German still. The only part I have experienced and don't accept is when they put us down as inferior and start in with the Mafia business.
Great video Sven and Teresa. You can see the magic between you and this truly shows how you can accept the faults of a better half and still have fun, laugh about it and roll with it. Wishing you much success ahead.
I must admit I was impressed when I heard you have twelve employees! Personally, I’d be interested in a video about the Gentleman’s gazette as a business in general; history, company structure, future aspirations and what not
@Paul : Beyond awkward. I was brought up to never denegrate my husband (or other family for that matter) to others, let alone in public and I was taught to not tolerate it from others. What happens behind closed doors is another matter.
Honestly, your wife has a good sense of humour & spontaneity is what makes it even better. Also, she has a very calm & down to earth personality as it appears.
How are there already dislikes on this video? No one can possibly have seen it yet, as it just came out a few seconds ago. Well, goes to show not all opinions are well-founded
Shirley and I loved this video and think it is one of your best to date. It says a lot when someone is willing to put their shortcomings out there for public display like that, and it speaks volumes to the relationship you have with you wife. My lady and I are looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta next February. Thank you again for keeping it real.
You simply cannot create a RU-vid video where your wife points out your flaws if you're not in a strong, healthy, happy relationship. Brilliant video, fun and endearing.
Raphael is such a role model to me in terms behavior. On one hand it’s hard to imagine him being anything but flawlessly graceful. On the other hand it as funny, and in a way encouraging to see many of the things he’s bad at are things I’m bad at as well. All the more reason to keep following the channel and learning lol. Also, they’re such a lovely couple! Hope they do more videos together in the future.
Thank you for your openness and for sharing. Raphael is a professional, he knows what he is doing. We learn lots from and all the rest of this rich channel. Teresa’s appearance in this video is an added value to the channel. All the best for both of you. Abdou from Oslo..
Raphael, you and I have a lot in common. And I am 40 years older than you. Independent, opinionated, impatient, thick skinned, don't require flattery or compliments, love fashion., etc. Stay with it and you will continue to be happy and successful in your life and business. Best wishes to you and Theresa.
Raphael's smile toward his wife looks so sincere and warm. They seem to get very well together. She completes him as he does the same to her. Lovely couple. Wish the best and bright for you!
This was a great video to watch. Hilarious parts but yet subtle. I can see you both have a great relationship that we should all have. I enjoyed the honesty throughout the video.
I don’t know how long you’ve been married I say 10 years so I would like to say happy 10th anniversary marriage Raphael and Teresa! I like watching the Gentleman’s Gazette
I'm from Central Europe and I am terrible at exactly the same things, lol. Living in Canada, most of the time I feel like an allien so I'm very happy to see there are others like me 😀
This video is an excellent dimension to this channel. I like how it makes the fellow man so much more relatable and humanized. Thank you for this brave act.
It was such a pleasure to see her and hear from her as a female viewer of your channel! Is there any way that we're seeing more of her? Can she make a channel on classic fashion for women? 😍
You guys are a great couple! Raphael, I found your channel because a friend complimented a profile picture on Facebook. "What a dapper lad!", he wrote. And "dapper" brought me here.
@4:06 They should open more checkout lanes. You know why they won't? Because they know you'll stand there and wait. They know you love your stuff more than being impatient. You prove this to be true by waiting in line.
I have appreciated your success in your business/passion, for years. But I'm more impressed with your bride. She's absolutely lovely! Good on you, Raph!
I wondered if there was a lady behind the gentleman because there usually is behind the best men. The two of you are a brilliant match. I absolutely love this channel. The most tasteful, elegant, high quality men's lifestyle. I must say I was shocked to learn first that you have the outside voice problem because you are so soft spoken on your videos. It's one of the main things I noticed first was the refined even speaking voice you use. I come from a loud family as well. I project my voice to avoid repeating myself I think. Also I was surprised to learn that you resist throwing away an old shirt. You wear quality clothing and therefore it lasts ten times longer than average off the rack stuff, but I figured that you would be the first to lose the worn things rather than risk looking shabby even working in the garden. This video was extremely entertaining, informative and it made you seem more like the rest of us. After all being a gentleman is a conscious effort that takes time to perfect and even the most refined have their flaws. You were brave to let your flaws be aired for the world but I think it will be valuable in the grand scheme.
„We’ll get to Preston’s flaws in another video”. That sounds interesting. And by the tone of voice you know who the actual boss is on this channel. Love the video!
Wonderful and funny how you two don't take yourself (and each other) too seriously. I admire your courage to make a video like this. Really made my day!
This was absolutely one of my most favorite videos! Felt like I got to know both of you a bit. Really love what you do and are the reason I now pursue menswear. I wouldn't know the pleasure of a Goodyear welted shoe if it wasn't for you :) Prost! 🍻
Raphael, this is the best video you've ever done. Teresa is charming and well-spoken. By the way, we're almost neighbors. My wife, Diane, and I live in Minnetonka, Minnesota. She is an artist, and I am an author. It is important for both of us to be style appropriate in the various functions we attend. Over the years, I've come to appreciate your insights and advice. My best to both of you for a happy holiday season. Sincerely, Louis A. Del Monte
I definitely have some of these! The waiting in line thing made me laugh as I'm British so queuing is pretty much our national sport but I detest waiting in line. I only do it because it's the polite thing to do over here! German supermarkets are very popular in the UK as well and although it is nice when an assistant asks about your day etc, I would trade that in for quicker service.
7:45 of coarse it's ok not be bothered from others feelings if you're forced into some predicament that is unbeneficial or unequal to your being. To not care is often the most gentlemen way to be.
Late to this party. My mum was a child of the depression and told me about turning collars when they became worn. Good for another couple of years. And yes, old dress shirts become new work shirts.
Adorable video. Loved meeting your wife. Got a real education about German lineage traits. This perfectly explains some of my experiences with my last boyfriend.
The fastest line is the one with men in it. No coupons, money ready, no arguing the pricing... and already turned to leave while reaching for the receipt.
I find the variety of hosts to be a pleasant change to the channel over the last year or so. Looking forward to the next year (decade! *Hopefully*) of videos. Keep up the good work, gents.
Though not a tasteful alternative, ive repurposed my old shirts as pocket squares. the tattered look of the ends gives it a touch of flavor if you will...... and if you dont have a tissued, use it.
Did you ever think about creating a version of gentleman’s gazette focused on American heritage/fashion forward work wear? It’s very popular now with the growth of Japanese, Euro and American denim, boot makers, leather goods, chinos, jackets and shirts, etc.. I understand it’s not gentlemanly in the classic sense but I feel it can have a modern gentleman nuance. A proper corduroy sport jacket, denim shirt, and dark selvedge denim or chinos paired with heritage boots like vibergs, wesco or even red wings can be a very classic look now. It won’t pass for wedding attire but it’s definitely a modern development that I believe has staying power and is good for industry. Denim is no longer the marker of a lower class laborer.
OMG - you are my twin brother - must be the shared German roots. Great videos and channel. Great to see you open up to the human side of you and your business and relationships. Bravo!
