11 Things You Can't Do Anymore In Present WWE Games 

1. Holding on to the ropes and ignoring the referee are minor submission mini-games that I enjoyed so much in the past. 2. Off topic, but I wish they include the Royal Rumble finishers as normal apron moves in exhibition.

2K this is just sad now, taking more out then putting in

Double title entrances and the chair moments where you put it on their head or their foot are the things I miss the most

2K19 was peak WWE 2K. After that, they turned it into trash.

Nowadays, every new game feels like "What feature are they gonna remove now?"

I still miss the Create A Finisher-feature from SvR 2009-2014 (I think). It wasn't too polished but the very least you could do was giving your own spin to a good finish. But at least they kinda brought the UCM's back. That's nice.

I can't believe what WWE games have devolved into ever since 2K took over...

2k really need to take more inspiration from old games

The inability to do a diving finisher onto a table is what really bothers me. Would've made 2K22 significantly more fun because Jeff Hardy was actually in the game. You couldn't even do a diving finisher off a ladder 🤦🏽‍♂️

I miss the diving finisher from the top of a ladder, and any diving attack will do.

The SvR series was much better than the WWE 2k series

That's why i'm still playing SvR games instead of 2Kcrap.

So many things they continue to take out, the squash match and the grapple minigame are needed back

#4 is infuriating at this point. I’m convinced 2K just don’t know how to make wrestling games from an in-ring gameplay perspective. I don’t think they legit understand what pro wrestling is. The WWE 2K games have always felt like wrestling themed fighting games. And not a legit wrestling games

One that I really hate is throwing your opponent weapons like ladders, chairs and steel steps first you can’t even throw them on the steel steps it just makes it slide over but when throwing them on weapons it doesn’t do additional damage as it should

I’m aware that this is virtually impossible but I wish we all could boycott 2K multiple years as a community and force them to create a game we want

I get not having certain things from SDvR in the game because they'd have to work to program those things in. I don't understand why they'd remove things from previous 2k games. YOU ALREADY HAVE THE CODING FOR IT DONE! Even if you have to update it a tiny bit, you already have a majority of the work finished.

The sheer ineptitude of VC and 2K....

You can actually hold the rope during submissions, you gotta turn it on in the options and i think there's also a slight chance the referee might miss it

Putting ppl thru the announce table without having it to be a finisher

I remember being able to do a squash match with Roman in 22

When you were able to lean ladders against each other was peak for me

I was sad theres no intergender when they brought chyna back into the games i was hoping to do some intercontinental matches with her but guess not.

I always found it sad/backward that d-throws have eventually been phased out (despite some moves still showing they have the ability)

WWE 12 was the start of not being able to hold on to a submission after a rope break and ever since it pisses me off.

Seriously. They need to bring back all this stuff. Need more realism in these games

Just think if 2k makes a game with all the features from previous WWE games, they don't have to add anything just bring back all the features it will be the best game till date . I don't know why 2k thinks like that .

6.i want that one back so bad. i hate that they took it away when smackdown vs raw 2010 came out and it been like that ever since. so yeah i want number 6. back and i want it back now.

But my first WWE game was either svr 2008 or svr 2009 for the PS2 man those were the days.

I miss it all! But, I miss diving finishers the most from the ladder, on a table, as well as from the fist or HIAC. OMG moments like boot to the post(HATE the new barricade break which NEVER works anymore like even 2k22.) They took out ladder moves when you could do any graple with both on top without needing finisher and they could've updated the finishers as well to add the big ending, the stunner, or even added the sunset powerbomb, unprettier, sliced bread #2, and walls of Jericho back in. I like the new HIAC vs other games, but I miss the functional door and I miss being able to do ANY move that sent both of you off of the cell! I used to test big boot my buddies off of the cell for my caf finisher or I'd be gored off with both us going to the floor. I hate that any strike to a woman on intergender matches are a dq but not if the woman attacks the man. I've also unintentionally lost matches on universe where the opp had a female manager and I did an outside dive. Then, DQ'd when she got in the way. 🤦 I also miss when managers could actually be controlled and you could get them to distract the ref or toss in a weapon for you instead of the CPU picking when it usually doesn't do the animations. I could literally go on and on as I've owned and played all these games since the days of Acclaim!

fun fact theres actually one where u can crawl to the ropes in 2k22 i was surprised when it happened it depends onthe submission i believe i couldve prob been tired but if u want then i think u should try every submission move

The submission games, the OMG’s the ladder grapple the finishers to the table and ladder perfect they better bring it back.

I made a squash match in 22 and 23. Just need to make them have a couple finishers

am i the only guy who misses being able to do moves off the entrance ramps? so many cool spots that cant be done

Or using the ring bell as a weapon or if the title is on the line that title is but the announce table and can be used as a weapon

This is defitnetly the last 2k game I play (2k23) last one I played was 2k19 and that game was stripped from a lot of features.

Nah you guys dont understand the tricks, they take away features, so they can add in later games so they say they added something new(that we know that was already on one of the games but they took it off)

You can do diving finishers through tables but you can’t with Finn’s finisher

The commentary on those table moves was so unbelievably dry "Look at that completely unbelievable move. 😐"

Since all these have been removed, but AEW adds them, it'll be even cooler than WWE games now. 2k20 was the last cool one with the create superstar and start your own career. After that, I believe they all went downhill.

The menu changes don’t work because that was raw vs smckdown you had to chose a side

More and more reasons why I just cant find myself to play the newer games and go back to the old ones 2k19 is still fun but the fact they are apparently closing online mode for 2k22 so that you HAVE to upgrade to 2k23 is bullshit and I fear they'll do that to 2k19 and other old 2K games I'm sure people still play

As buggy as the diving table finishers were, they were still a lot of fun to do 😅

You can do under rope moves, do a standing drag to your opponent, go up to the apron, walk into it and it puts them there, then press heavy attack

This was the first wwe game I didn’t buy since no mercy I’m sure I missed some but I’ve always bought them when I’ve seen them but 2k has burned me way too many times with these games

The smackdown fist thing was something they should have kept. Stupid to remove it

In my honest opinion the best WWE game I've ever played is(here's come to the pain) but svr was really good but I was not a fan of the 2k WWE games. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

removing under rope moves was one of the most nosense thing that 2K could've done, for real, what's the real reason to removed it? also OMG barricade finisher was dumb to remove, because in the real WWE especially in PLE, it can happen that they destroy the side barricade (like Roman Reigns with LA Knight)

2k23 had specials from ladder to table then 1 patch and they remove it never putting it back it

Let's have perspective. People mad talking about 2k making bad games. While I agree to a point, WWE games before 19 were held together by gum and duct tape. Once 2k took over officially with 20, the entire game broke, making them go back and scrub the game code to make it workable. That's why there was no 2k21. THQ/Yukes were the previous devs, so they knew how to work around the bugs; 2k didn't. That's why 22 and 23 are extremely barebones. 2k's moved some of the game modes to their in-house game engine and are scrapping tons of old code because there was still code on the game from HCTP.

😢wwe games are no more upgrade or something new provider in svr atleast they improveing and give us something new with every game but today 😔. They should remake wwe smack down here comes the pain or any old wwe game😕. Or just port it old games to pc so modder can help it free .

1: this could happen in multiplayer, which made it a bit unfair for it to happen 2: 🗿 this didn’t make sense when it was a thing. 3: these often slowed the pace of the match and were a bit annoying to match flow, ngl 4: with the current submission system, it doesn’t make much sense to include this anymore. 5: this only made sense during the svr era 6: yeah this one makes no sense. Like I get how irl men are stronger than women, but wwe is fiction, why can’t we do this anymore 7: doesn’t make sense for the current direction of wwe. Also, riddle me this, when’s the last time a fca match went outside 8: this could be because wwe doesn’t want to encourage this 9: this is a pointless feature anyways 10: far too many glitches that came with this. 11: do you know how difficult it is to get voice acting for everyone on the roster?
