We might disagree on one particular issue. You did an amazing job talking about a touchy issue, while representing opposing perspectives, in a very practical way. I am taking mental notes on the effectiveness of your style. Ok, here goes... I sympathize with the child who knows nothing of the country they might be deported to. But I believe it might be a necessary and beneficial action to the country they are leaving. Why? Because it will significantly decrease the motivation to come over by illegal means. And a child coming from another country is another mouth to feed, and a drain of that country's resources. And that wouldn't be so bad, as long as that country doesn't already have children and others in need of those resources.

The reason things like immigration are such a sensitive topic, is because most of what most people know about the subject comes from information or "news" that is provided in the political realm of the subject. There is very little apolitical, practical, and realistic discussion about immigration out there - but this video is exactly that. Great content! Great subject, and great discussion. Thank you.

Patrick thank you for that case study example of the truth of the catch 22 of being born into a corrupt and impoverished central american nation and having no choice but to roll the dice and leave. I'm a lucky soul, born in Canada and living in Scotland, so have opportunities aplenty, but have spent much time travelling through Mexico and Guatemala etc... Those people are of the highest quality with their morality, work ethic, and kindness. It breaks my heart that they don't enjoy the quality of life that most of us in North America do. I can't stand the negative propoganda surrounding these unfortunate people who are only victims of circumstance and though i'm not religious, i pray that your channel reaches the right people over time and creates an awareness of the reality of the world we live in. We are all brothers and sisters and anyone who disagrees with that is brainwashed. Thanks again my man!!

There are no illegals in the US. You can pretend there are but there's been so many loopholes for decades that anyone who makes it in can stay regardleas of citizenship status. Not only can they stay, but they can avoid paying taxes and/or receive government benefits that increase as they have more children. Hopefully this reality will help someone in the comments get over that aspect of society. There's nothing you can do about it.
@grendelprime166
@grendelprime166 4 года назад
You are an Illegal Alien if you hop the border breaking laws. Just because government is not doing anything about enforcing those laws at the behest of big business and the chamber of commerce does not redefine their legal status here. It is true there's nothing you can do about it politically, but it will eventually result in blood in the streets, no multicultural nations survive. Homogenous societies are the only ones that last. It would be better as a global community for people to stay where their culture and people thrive and establish better trade practices to raise up other nations, other than brain draining them to the USA, undercutting wages and causing discord in society.
@chaumetlouis19
@chaumetlouis19 4 года назад
Grendel Prime I agree that there will be blood, but the reality is that un-enforced laws are suggestions. Sodomy is illegal in the law, but I'd bet nobody has been arrested for that alone in 50 years. They don't even lock pedos up anymore because the prisons are too full. Pedos are treated for mental illness instead.
@grendelprime166
@grendelprime166 4 года назад
@@chaumetlouis19 Immigration laws were acted upon with great measure in the past. Eisenhower Administration enacted Operation Wetback and rounded up illegals from sea to shining sea and deported them back to their home countries. It was so overreaching, they even rounded up American citizen Latinos and sent them to Mexico. The reason Immigration laws are not enforced is because big business wants the cheap labor, and democrats and a large voting pool in the next decade.

Love your channel Patrick, however as an experienced Canadian immigration lawyer with experience in US immigration law, this video contains many factual and legal errors. The immigration system is extremely complex and I would suggest that you interview an experienced immigration lawyer to fully grasp the rules, regulations and policies. I would suggest to rename the video to “my understand of the immigration system”. Impossible to oversimplify such a topic.

Have to add more on 15:00 - If we reward DACA kids with Amnesty, we're just encouraging more of the same behavior. These kids have to take a hit for what their parents dragged them through, just like the children of any criminal suffer the consequences of their parent being incarcerated or killed for their crimes. It should be a lesson to all who drag their children here illegally that Nope we won't legalize your kids, even though they became "American".

I don't think those dudes matter when it comes to legality. It's either legal or it's not and diversity has been a double edged sword for the entire Western world.

@@untriedgenius7672 it is important to inform people about the costs and benefits of multiculti bs. It lowers trust in communities, lowers charity, communication, has only been used to cripple wages combined with unions, and is the elites and scum of the earths main income source for the human trade. Want another thousand reasons why this might be important ?

Just a suggestion....... You should speak on the leader of the NYS ALKQN. He is currently locked up in supermax adx florence. And since his sentencing in New York City 1997 of 245yrs, first 45yrs to be served in solitary confinement + not able to have visitors nor write or receive letters or use the phone. He is a man that is never mentioned in the storys of adx. Its sad that a man would be punished in that cruel manner. By the way i enjoy ur shows 👍👍 keep up the good work

Pat How about a 4 yr old who parents fled a war torn country. Entered illegally. Went to school here had a couple of scrapes with the law. As a teenager possession of marijuana which is now practically legal. Became an adult an never been in trouble with the law as an adult Has a wife who is a us citizen by birth Has two children born here I’m on the deportation list Because in immigration law A nickel bag of weed if caught twice equals a felony How’s that add up into the equation I report to immigration every 3 months I’ve been with the same company 17 years Fema trained Emergency response team Community volunteer A leader in my community Please shed some light
